I agree with what has been said above, car counts are going to be low, as there just aren't many asphalt cars in the local area anymore. When the track closed, there were some local late model teams, Seger, Wallace, Potter, Benton/Gordon, Schaffer, Kuntz, Womer, and a few more that I just can't remember their names. Relying on teams from out of the area to fill the pits is always a challenge. I hope they succeed in their attempts to rebuild asphalt racing in the area. The last late model race, while short on cars was one of the best finishes I have seen recently. Hopefully they can drum up enough interested and support to get through this season, and begin building for next year and beyond. The track has always been one of my favorites, no matter what surface, and I'm really glad that there are at least a few shows being run.

Where's the LIKE button?! I've heard from a number of fans how good the racing was.

Actually the admission didnt change from last season when there was simply 1 TBRA race on each night, not counting the NASCAR K&N race where the admission was even more expensive.

So the Super sup race on June 22 had no bearing at all on the 20.00 admission price, However we decided to lower the gate fee for this race

Please don't get me wrong I am in no way trying to hassle you. I want the track to do well just as much as you guys do being the owners. I was at both TBRA races last year and the first race of this year. The point I was trying to make was that it made sense to lower the admission price with the small turnout at the first race in the other divisions. I believe both TBRA races had a strong field of 20+ lates so the fans didn't mind spending the $20. You didn't have that the first race but at least you did have the Super Cup cars to go along with the 12 or so lates.

Also, I believe your payout for 4cyl is better than motordrome. I think they only pay $50 to win and that's it so thats a step in the right direction for you guys.

Thanks for your support. We went into this year knowing that it would take some time to rebuild, but wanted to show everyone that we were committed to asphalt racing. We knew it wouldn't be quick - But we worked with CNB Bank on a multi-year deal and we will be here next year and the year after that! We have talked with several local guys who are building street stocks, late models and 4 cyls. You'll get a chance to see a few of them on Sunday, August 18. It takes a little time to build a car. If you're thinking about building a car, let us know and get busy - We are working on adding dates later this year for the supporting classes. You can sit on the sidelines and wonder or build a car and get in the game. It's a lot more fun being In the Game. See you on the track!

The TBRA races were $5,000 to win, $600 to start. Thats how you get strong car counts.

Actually, the TBRA went to Motordrome last year and started more cars than at CNB with a payout of $2000 to win, $400 to start. It isn't just the payout that determines the car count. There are many other factors. You were out to race with us on June 22nd and we look forward to having you out again on August 18th.
