Denny Fenton beat a hard charging Luke hoffner to pick up the win in the late models and Jamie Price won the street stocks over Tim fannin... in the pure stocks it was a win by Lester Hudson and Jake shady won the semi lates and the winner of the front wheel drive four cylinders was a saturn station wagon wearing monster energy drink colors and was a bad ass looking machine but i didn't catch a name on that one . good night of racing over all but Animal was involved in a hard crash and has a lot of work to do before next week , hope all goes smooth for him.

Fenton and Hoffner did put on a good race but what is the deal with hoffner turning denny around after the race and pushing and bumping him on the scales. This is a very common reaction hoffner has when he gets BEAT ! His antics and BS are totally uncalled for.

I agree good night of racing. I have one gripe, it looks like the clay is getting pretty thin in spots and that made it dusty for the features. I hope they add more clay to the track in the off season..

Mash the loud pedal.

This is why the only person sad to see him leave hummingbird was....... Damn I thought I could at least think of ONE person. I guess it's unanimous, once he sticks his pouty lip out no one can stand him.

Just curious but I thought that the rules said no station wagons in the fwd?

From the website Chassis/Body 1. Any front wheel drive four cylinder car. Front engine mounted vehicles only. No station wagons, jeeps, SUV, or trucks.

I wasn't there so doesn't effect me but i had to question it when ppl said it was a station wagon

you have to admit that wagon looked really cool and i don't know why that rule was always written in there about wagon bodies but it was always the same in street stocks too. i dont think the body on that car helped him win the race that car just looked fast , they have had a lot of first time( at the track ) winners show up in the front wheel drive class.

Id love to do a wagon purestock. Just something different. And your right the body had nothing to do with the win. A good solid run.

There's always more speed! And you don't have to cheat to find it!

i think something happened in hot laps...im not really sure but hoffner stopped where they line the cars up and was talking to someone and then went flying down into the pits and stopped at fentons pit...

Heard someone from Fentons Crew went around apologing after the races because they determined Hoffner did NOT spin Denny. Also, Jeff has clay for the track for next season. He found some earlier this summer and has been hauling it as he has time.

I would like to clear up two things.First there was a rule not allowing station wagons in the 4 cly. class. that rule goes way back to the rear wheel cars, when the wagons were 3 ft. longer and much heavier. The front wheel cars knowadays are all about the same.We ask some of our drivers about it and they said they were ok with it.Second thing,The story about hoffner spinning Fenton out after the featureis incorrect. The Fentons were swearing at the flagman and the owner of the track because they did not do anything about the so called incident.Later that evening Mrs. Fenton came up to the flagman and said they looked at the video and Hoffner did not hit Denny. There has been a long standing feud between the two parties and it is tuff trying to control it.

Chuck, the bullsh1t that hoffner pulled in the pits was totall uncalled for. I'm not taking sides but when he came into the pits, threw it sideways and threw rocks all over 4-5 cars, trailers and people, that is much more than an "incident". I have nothing in this other than wanting to keep the only two eyes I have.

Well you know why they will not do anything. That would end in a disqualification and that would be his second disqualification of the season because he got disqualified for being to light. That's why nothing will not be done and that's why every track that person is at people leave and race cars leave because if he don't get his own way he is all pissy. That's why clinton county fell down the drain.

Oh i also have to add is if you are disqualified twice in the season you get all your points taken away for the season. So he wouldn't be the points champion and they can't have that.

You should of seen Hoffner fly through the Bird pits about half a dozen times last year. Hit his trailer once. He is gonna hurt some one with his antics..... Fair warning.
