To count a random modified coming out of the pits in front of a sprint as a spin is beyond absurd clearly that is not the intent of the rule. And YES I
Feel that as a former multi time track champion and world or outlaws silver cup winner he deserves special consideration on some bullshit spin rule as ot relates to a car pulling out on front of him
He wasn't penalized for coming to a stop, he was penalized because his crew came onto the track. The firefighter at the pit gate doesn't make decisions. They've been around long enough to know and understand the rules, they just believe the rules don't pertain to them.

I am in no way a Lynch fan, with that being said, since the spin was a result of not wanting to make contact with the 6W he should have gotten his starting spot. If anyone else's crew would have gone on the track they would have been penalized. I was sitting in the pit grandstands and the crew just went onto the track...no contact with Smokey to go. Should have stopped at flag stand/official. The biggest role play in the situation was the crew going up into Smokey's face. They should have let Ed take care of it after coming off the track. JMO
He was going to get to start 10th until the crew came onto the track! And I completely get why the crew wanted to look over the car. That's their son, dad, family, friend about to go 100+ mph, but there's a wrong way to do the right thing and time and again they do things their way instead of the procedural way! Greg and Todd would not have started that race with Ed in the shoot. Pull up there, ask the push truck driver to get Smoke and ask permission to either get out of the car and look it over yourself or request that the crew chief come do it under permission of the officials.

I don't know what the term "random Modified" is supposed to mean, but given your past proclivities for showing that class and drivers less than zero respect, I am going to guess it is a thinly veiled insult toward that night's feature winner and 2013 Modified champion.
It's hard to say exactly what happened, but one thing people should know is that Big and Small Block Modifieds are difficult to see out of, especially laterally. I'm sure Matt was sent by someone on the infield, or over the Raceiver. Either way, when I though about it, I'm surprised something similar hasn't happened in the past. They probably should wait until all of the cars from he previous feature are in the pits before pushing out the Sprints from now on.
As far as showing favoritism towards Lynch, Jr. or any other driver, that's total bullshit, even though I know it happens at all tracks. I know his past accomplishments. I've watched him his entire career. I also know he puts a lot of people in the stands. The fact is, if rules aren't evenly enforced for everyone, then what's the point? You might as well wipe your ass with the rule book.

He may have put a lot of people in the grandstands in the past but he isn't even considered a regular anymore. If they are going to tech cars it should be done in the pits so that when they are done the car is already in there. They should have someone standing in the infield that their main objective is to cross cars safely. Not only do you have other cars on the track but also trucks and equipment doing track work that could be involved.

Sounds like a situation that never even had to happen, sounds like it was very poorly handled.

Clearly, badass blowguys, I was referring to the link that was posted and not the situation at the track. You "could of got" the meaning by paying better attention.Funny shit dude. someone could of got seriously injured. due to the track officials having there head up their arse. hilarious.

I highly doubt attendance will be affected if lynch is a no show. the outlaws will be a sell out regardless. With a WoO show coming up in a couple weeks, I wonder if the Lynch team or any of its members will be suspended over this? Could make some difference in the attendance they get if they do get suspended, but I think the fans, other racers and track officials have the right to know.

I'm sure there will be many fans happy to fill the seats vacated by the Lynch fans if he doesn't show or is suspended.
