We have two crate cars almost the same only the shock manufacturers are different .Our biggest cost other than buying late model parts when you wreck is the tires .If everybody had to run the same hard tire one compound only no sipping grooving or sanding that would be a good start on saving

Yup woulda been way bigger of a class and less headache. I just seen Joe martin had to hang it up cause of money problems this is one of your better teams and they cant even keep up with the money being spent. You start losing guys like Joe you know there is a problem with the cash that guys are spending on theses (crate cars)

Haven't heard of any FATRAK cars having that problem. Maybe he should have stayed with FASTRAK instead of jumping ship to RUSH.

The class has got so far out of hand anymore. It started with a good idea but has morphed into what it is. Since the last ten years look at all the crate specific components out there for x amount of dollars. That's capitalism at its best and can't blame the companies for doing it but it just adds that much more expensive items to be added. They've also made the 602 almost obsolete with cutting the original weight down on the 604. The money u would save to run a 602 youd have to spend double to even come close to using the weight break. Allowing tires to be grooved and siped is just going to add more to the cost. This class is no way a budget type class anymore. Not many stick it out in this class for too many years that don't have pretty decent funding.
