You mean you had respect for him BEFORE the race? I don't think smeal has ever cared what anyone thinks of him. Surprised it hasn't landed him in the fence more than it has. Do what you gotta do to win I guess. Why is Jeff making the track bigger? Seems through the infield is the way to pass. Guess those barrels ARE useless.

he never hit the barrels...so he must not have been that low...it was a bonzi move for sure but it worked

In SS the 44 flat out ran over the 3 car through the final corner9. Lapped cars got in the way but he used the infield and the age old 8 tires are better than four deal to pass. Pretty low class move. Those two had the field covered but Smeal would never have gotten by with out running over the 3.

Lol. No not the 44? Just remember its not his fault ever!! They definitely had us covered. Still not sure how I hung on to 3rd with a car that pushed like a dump truck every corner lol. I know I had to of frustrated the 69 cuz I felt him every corner but also respect him for not dumping me like others would do. Did anyone see what caused the 11T to flip? Was he ok?

Did anyone see what caused the 11T to flip? Was he ok?

Hugill was slowed on the backstretch by a flat i think and 11T and whoever else was two wide coming out of 2 with no where to go...just not enough room at that speed.

DSG is right. We just ran out of room on the backstretch. The car is bent pretty bad up front, and will need to be clipped this winter. I fared out much better than the car. Full containment seats, and the roll cage did it's job. I would like to thank everybody for their concern on Saturday night. Lots of good people willing to help.

I remember last year, or year before he got thrown out of bird for nailing Brandon Connor while he was waiting to scale after the race. He's definitely a class act.

Dam Smeal stole one, in turn 3, on the last lap from the T3. One hell of a race! Lates on the track now. 28 lates with 20 starting feature.

Thought the rule at amp was knock the barrels over and your docked a spot if not two? Think the 44 got a couple.

i have absolutely no idea what race you all were watching the lap cars did play a roll in the outcome but gearhart stayed up in the middle of 3-4 left the bottom open dan put his nose in there at no point did he hit a barrel or use the infield. bump yes there was contact but the lap cars were running where gearhart was thus giving dan the win.i was sitting right on top of all the action in the middle of 3-4 on the hillside.he also said in his interview if it wasn't for the lapped cars gearhart would of won and he hated winning like that.any driver would of made the same move it's called racing and bumping is racing just ask doug tibbens on opening night when the 11 car knocked him out of the way in turns 1-2 thus giving the win to the 96 car by the way doug led 18 laps before that happened

Glad to hear u came out of it ok. Cars can be replaced. I saw it looked like it was pretty bent when they towed it off. Most important thing is u walked away from it. I've had a wreck like that once and wouldn't wish it on anyone.

I don't have a dog in the fight, but my eyesight works fantastic. The leader was low, lap car ahead and above him. Smeal dove through the infield (dust like that didn't get kicked up off the track by anyone else). It was certainly a ballsy move, and in my opinion dirty, but it got him the win. So be it. I just hate to see guys run consistently like that. He's got quite the reputation for it over the years. A lot of wins but no friends. I'd rather earn half those wins and keep the respect of the drivers and fans. What do I know though. If I was in a car I might plow through everyone haha.

truth be told where we were sitting it looked more like gearhart came down on smeal cause he knew he left the door wide open.as i stated earlier he didn't hit a barrel or use the infield as i said earlier if it wasn't for lap cars gearhart would of won smeal admitted that.and that's the way about 30 other fans around us saw it.
