I actually did fall asleep the time I went to AMP this year lol
You will NEVER see a dirt latemodel go that fast at amp or hummingbird so...good luck with that thought. very few dirt tracks and say they have a latemodel that can even reach 100 mph. Dirt LOOKS fast, but in all reality they are going slow. they spin out and stop with in 10 feet. on the pave track when they spin, they will slide half way down the straight. hell the pavement street stocks will slide that far and they are essentially a dirt Pure stock. The speed is the difference. and pavement is just a different style of racing to enjoy. everyone that comes on here that complains about it being "boring"...is just ignorant to the fact of understanding the WORK it takes to be fast at a pavement track compared to a dirt car. Tiny adjustments on pavement can take you from being slow to a winning car or visa versa. Dirt...its forgiving, and hell ive seen guys loose a cyl. and still be competitive and win at times. on the pavement you might as well pull in cause youll be lapped in two laps.
I like dirt. because they have the car counts right now, and there are more tracks, but if Clearfield can find a way to get 15-20 cars per class, there will be NO ONE on here saying its boring...haha but yet, that remains to be seen.
