It is going to be a long winter with little or no racing. I think a way to break the no-racing monotony would be to hold an enduro race on the asphalt. It could be held in conjunction with Ground Hog day or some other celebration. If the track would make a commitment to run 3 or 4 events through out the year, locals would build cars. Also, I think many of the Mercer and Learnerville cars would come. If they pay a decent purse, I think people and cars would turn out. Could be fun. Thoughts?

There are some tracks that run this type of event on New Years Eve or New Years Day.

We like the idea and are working on the details as this is typed. Maybe Start off with a 4Cyl race, then the 100 Lap Enduro, followed by the debut of a new fun class to be introduced at CNB for the 2014 season. Gonna leave ya hanging on the "fun class" for now - more details to be released as this class is firmed up. Maybe finish the day with a demo derby?
Gotta be a little more realistic on the day - who is really gonna spend a couple hours sitting in the stands or hangin in the pits with the temps likely below freezing and a foot of snow in the infield? We're looking at the Ides of March - a little warmer and a little less chance of snow. Beware the Ides of March!
Watch for more details as we get this put together.

make sure you set a mouse trap in the announcers booth because the last owners let guys get cars ready and then cancelled out because a mouse had eaten the power wires off.    :P

I still have the pictures hanging in the shop of the last enduro race to be ran at that track, (Polar Bear 100), I think. We took a 3 car team and finished 1 and 2 with our 3rd driver getting stuck in a snow bank lmao. The temperature was 11 degrees when we started the race and Tom Mott was corner flaggin in shorts! Yes the winter races are cold but thats the point. The drivers and cars have to battle the elements as well as race. Mercer and Sharon have been doing this for years. Waiting till March is to late, Jan or Feb is when it's fun!! Just an opinion.
