run it then as well...I thik the orignal point was to have a race to get us through winter...but there will be a few tracks already actually racing in marchIf you schedule it in Jan. or Feb. I will offer to bring 2 plow trucks if needed. My vote is run it then.

Satire at it's best I think 35 or so paid that day.. The most interesting race was the two guys who chained their trucks together and burned the tires off.As I recall, the hillside was packed for this race..

OK OK You convinced me - Ground Hop 100 - the first Saturday in February! This has to been run in Jan or Feb , March is to close to the start of the race season in the area , The idea is to brake up the long winter wait to the season opener. As for rules I would copy Learnerville and mercers word for word as you would have a car base to draw from . jmo
Now the ball is back in your courts - we need cars and they need to preregister!
We're looking at the local track rules and will try to keep them the same, but each tracks rules are a little different. - we'll get something out soon.
Also, we can be pretty sure there will be snow on the infield and track so MrFabriactor - I'll take you up on your offer of plow trucks.
I've done some plowing in my day and we'll need more than two truck to get the infield, track, entrance and hillside cleared - probably take 4 trucks - so any other volunteers?
Stay Tuned - but start Promoting!

OK, The owner has stepped up and probably wont make much on this event so lets support this race. If it has a decent car count and fan count he will most likly have it again next year so all that asked for it, show up!!OK OK You convinced me - Ground Hop 100 - the first Saturday in February!

DONT plow the track! Thats a big track for enduro cars as it is. Let the snow and ice keep the speeds down, those cars aren't built to handle high speeds.

Looks pretty slow to me. I say plow it down to an inch or 2 of snow and let em go, the slippery surface will keep keep the speeds down with no traction.. skid plate racingSaw on the website that they are going to have Skid Plate Racing... I've seen videos of these, not the fastest racing, but wild and crazy for sure!!!

It doesn't significantly affect the surface because the plates are smooth and flat. We are testing now to get the right size, thickness, shape and lip. The plates will have to be purchased from the track as I can't take a chance on a poorly made or shortcutted plate that gouges the track.Never heard of skid plate racing so I checked it out. It looks hilarious. Not sure if it hurts surface or not.

Not only is it a lot of fun to watch (hope to attract some new fans!) but it is a ball to try to drive!
They will be introduced at the Winter Enduro, but will debut on Opening Day. They'll run at our Sat nite races so the sparks have more effect. Spread the word.
Build one and drive it or come out and watch them - Either way it is a blast!

A few years back at Motordrome, they had the "crashorama/car warz" show and one of the events was a skid race - it was interesting to say the least. And it didn't hurt that old asphalt at all. Didn't even scrape away the start/finish line!
