supposedly, the have a new guy "running" the track. not that it matters because he'd have to take orders from louie anyway. there has been rumors floating everywhere, about mod lites, about the semi late class, possibly opening up the late model rules to allow supers. blah blah blah. in my personal opinion, and not that it matter, and I'm sure a lot of people would agree/ disagree. Hummingbird needs to: 1. Open the rules for the late models, 2. Throw in a Once a Month show with modifieds, micro sprints, whatever would change things up a bit. 3. Don't change anything about the layout of the track. It was racey as hell all year last year, maybe just put new clay on. 4. TAKE FANS AND DRIVERS OPINIONS INTO CONSIDERATION!!!

I have a question for anyone that watched that video. What did the late model story at the beginning have to do with that stock car race they were showing? Didn't they have any late model footage?

They have good nights and bad nights. I've seen some really good, close racing there, and I've seen some races that were painful to watch due to the amount of cautions... Same as any other track I have been to.

They run steel block late models. Weight rule is a little heavier than super lates, and they have to run a steel block engine.

this is a bad video of the races there. there are some really close side by side races there. this past season had several photo finishes in all the classes throughout the year.

It doesn't matter what track your at what class your in if the two guys racing door to door don't respect each other and the work they put into there equipment it's gonna get ugly.

You are trying to compare the World 100 at Eldora to Hummingbird???? That is just insane on so many levels LOL!

Even trying to compare PPMS to Hummingbird is ridiculous. Search YouTube and see what 12-15 cars on the track at PPMS looks like compared to the same amount of cars on the track at Hummingbird.... A big difference in available real estate.... There is always going to be more contact on a small track compared to a big track, in any form of racing.

I was responding to the person who said that video taped debacle from hummingbird represents what happens everywhere and it isn't ...

Ok, let me clarify what I intended to say. It is no different than any other SMALL dirt track. I've been around racing for more decades than I like to think about. I've attended many, many tracks, big and small, asphalt and dirt all over this great country and the Bird is no different than other tracks of similar size and surface. I give them some credit. Last season the surface was more often than in great shape and provided some excellent side by side racing on a weekly basis. That is my opinion. You are certainly entitled to yours. Having said that, WHERE ARE THE RULES?
