Unlike most of this board, I enjoy asphalt racing. This statement is absolutely f*cking delusional, though.

The racing at Heidelberg, post 1967, was as good as any dirt track I have ever been to. And I can't believe anyone who ever saw Super Mods at Oswego wouldn't be impressed. I like both dirt and asphalt, and don't understand why so many fans are so dead-set against asphalt racing.

I wasn't impressed with Melfi when he was at Lake Erie.We shall see.

His press release makes you wonder.....seems like he doesn't stay put for any period of time and tracks he was tied in with seem to flourish after he leaves!!! I do hope that he is able to turn the track around ....J-town and clearfleid all need to get together ...same classes and rules ...

I think he is a very aggressive type of personality and on the lookout for opportunities to better his career but the chance to come back to the Pittsburgh area and be involved in racing again was a deal he did not want to pass up so good luck to him and it is great that a racetrack will still be in operation in our area.
