Just want to see if there are more old race photos that anyone would like to share during this long off season.

Yes, this is Mike. I haven’t talked to Dick in two years. I use to see him every summer at his camp on the Allegheny. We would ride down the river and spend some time with him, and even catch Bones there from time to time. Times have changed however.

Good to hear from you Mike we used to park beside you guys at Clearfield your mom and dad and you and Bobby. I helped Tom Hesselgesser up at Clearfield. This is Jim Bennett. I think the last time I saw you was at the Sheetz in Harrisville a long time ago. Tom always wanted me to go up to Tri City when you guys had it but I never made it up there. Hi Jim, it has been a long time, and those were good times. Gill was always the life of the party. I think racing was so simple back then. People didn't have to mortgage their houses to race then. Hope to see some time.

The original Butler Speedway was in Butler , where the Butler High School is now. Then it moved to Prospect.

Back then the field was a mix of upright sprints, roadsters and rear engine cars.
I can't remember the drivers, so feel free to chime in if your memory is better than mine:
