It's like RJO said...the tracks out East won't work together...these three tracks here have never really worked together...that's something I NEVER understood...if tracks would work together...have points together, give free passes for each others tracks...etc etc etc...fans would be happier, there would be more cars, and it would create a stable environment.

I just don't get it, I never did...

I wonder what "unforeseen circumstances" means?

"unforeseen circumstances" sure could mean a lot of things, and I have no idea. I do know that most of travelling series require to have the total purse paid on a date before to the scheduled event.

When i hear "unforeseen circumstances" I usually think of 'Meteor shower' or 'Plague of locusts'....

Hurricane Sandy for example, was an "unforeseen circumstance." Never heard it used before in the racing world, in this context.

I would say so...I think they are expecting the Jennerstown/Motordrome boys to support the track...they never did before...and there are not that many asphalt lates in this area...

Not quite sure how someone could say Drome guys didn't support the track- you clearly know absolutely nothing! Pretty much the two races of last year consisted of 75% Motordrome cars. Lauren butler won SS first race. Andrew Kostelnik won 2nd race sportsman. Anthony Aiello won second race SS. Jeremy brougher won 4 cyl race. At least 2/3 of those guys were from Drome. You really should get your facts straight. And there were alot of issues such as payment- combining classes last minute.......

I was not talking about last year...I was talking about years ago when Ferd owned the track...and after that when the six guys from DuBois owned the track, and after that when Russell owned the track...don't tell me that they supported the track back then because they DID NOT...a few would come up and help out, but very few...I know because I was there on a weekly basis, every week...AND that was also when Clearfield ran a different night than the other two tracks. Clearfield tried running Sundays back then for just that reason, and they still would not support the place...

Lets be real clear here - the ARCA Truck Race was cancelled by ARCA Officials NOT CNB Bank Raceway Park.

A call was received very late on Thursday afternoon stating that the Director of the series had a personal emergency and the series was forced to cancel.  CNB asked for a press release from ARCA to post in regards to the cancellation. What was posted on the ARCA website is what was "released".

Obviously, the support classes are not strong enough to run a show on their own at this time.  We will inform everyone as soon as alternate plans become available.

I call BS..... If the series cancelled a points race because the director or his family had an emergency the series can't be worth a crap. Remember the ole... THE SHOW WILL GO ON??? Well folks. I sure think that this party is over and next year at this time Dan will have a bad a$$ed dirt track only running a few specials and packing the fans in. He did it before and I'm pretty sure he hasn't forgotten how to do it. Rob has given this track 150% of his time and effort but you can't always reinvent the wheel.

Selinsgrove cancelled one of their few 410 sprint shows last Sunday due a family emergency....  Just sayin...

Whatever surface and whatever they are running I'll probably be there to watch.  Next to Williams Grove, it is my favorite track.  This group gave it a valiant effort, and I appreciate that!  But trying to rebuild asphalt racing after a 12 year hiatus, in an area where asphalt racing was never very popular to begin with is tough deal. I hope things work out for them.

I don't know Legend!  This is another Balls to the wall Hammer down 140mph straightaway speed track!  Another big old 5/8 mile speedway!  Not the Ice Rink style racing that you seem to like!

Express, the Legend runs Super Late PPMS on a regular basis, so speed isn't the issue. It's heavy tracks is what is hard on equipment. Even though it's great for fans, but tearing up everyone's car makes for a short season.

Express you miss my point, I have no issue with going fast that's why I run ppms and why I'm going back to eldora this year. I'm saying from a car count stand point many of the local teams can barely afford dry slick racing and you want hammer down to make them quit. If there was a known hammer down track close to here I would get a 10 degree spread bore 454 just to run there and pay for 10k rebuilds every 800 laps but that's not the answer to improving car counts. The more guys who have a chance to win and the more cars you will have . 900hp conditions significantly favor those with money, it doesn't matter to me but I don't want to race against 8 other cars id rather there be 30

'A bad assed dirt track only running a few specials' -??? That hardly sounds like a success to me.
