I read that on facebook the other day as well, and figured that was a big part of the late models not supporting the track.  I did read an article today about Jennerstown Saturday night and it did mention that Fisher and Fares were originally headed to or already at Clearfield.

Sounds like this clown needs to take out a loan from the track sponsor, CNB Bank, and pay the drivers that are owed from 9 months ago. And this guy wonders why no one will support the track.

First to set the record straight, the top five from the last race of 2013 were owed some money at the end of last year. During the off-season, 4 of the 5 were paid up or set up for a comp for the 2014 season (in this case tires). There was only one person.  This person decided to not work with CNB to take a comp and wanted all his money. His prerogative. However, he decided to make it known to as many teams as he could and destroyed their confidence. Thus, they did not come to race.  When only 3 cars come (May 25), it is not a race.

With the field already poisoned by one individual, we were only going to get 4 teams for the June 14th race.  I called them while they were in route and told them the situation and suggested that they go to Jennerstown, where I figured they would have 5-6 cars.  Travis Fisher, Tom Fares and Jeremiah Kuntz went to Jennerstown because I suggested they do so in order to have more to race against.
We did hold our SS and 4Cyl races with the local guys that came out to race with us. Similar car counts to JTown in their first couple races.  Results will be posted separately.

I can't believe that Glenn Gault would act that way. I have known them for 20+ years and for them to expect to be paid in full with cash or check for winning a race in just out of line. I'm going to stop wearing his shirt when I'm out at the races. I don't think that he poisioned the late model field tho. Word travels fast. Racers race for winnings. Sponsors help but the check at the end of the night helps too. Left over hamburgers and promises doesn't help you get home and back to the track next week. Anyone following CNB Raceway Park this season and see that everything is day by day. Two weeks ago you posted that if a class has less than four cars that the class is done for the year. "THE FUTURE IS IN THE DRIVERS HANDS". Well you haven't had a race with more than four cars in since then. Listen to the drivers. You send the three late model teams somewhere else to race so you didn't have to pay the purse. Not because you wanted them to have more cars to race against. You are trying 150% to bring the paved track back to life. It's not working. No one can fault you for having a dream. But, just give it up, quit trying to reinvent the wheel. Smear some dirt on that track and let's go racin!!!!!!

Why should any of the drivers have to be willing to except a comp of tires or anything else? When you advertised the race did you say that you might be racing for tires or pit passes or etc. for next year? It's not the competitors responsibility to finance the rebuilding of the track out of their pockets. It also sounds as if some of those who were paid had to wait a lengthy amount of time for their money. This is not a good way to earn the trust of the guys who came out and supported you. Not my place to judge if Glen handled the situation right or wrong but I do feel other drivers had the right to know that they may find themselves in the same boat going forward. I am a huge fan of asphalt racing and really want to see you guys succeed but I feel mistakes are being made. As a fan I can not justify the three hour drive to watch 10 cars but I will gladly support the track if you get car counts healthier!
