If it made money, I don't think they would have changed dates on it.  Tracks typically stick with the same weekend on their big successful events.  The ones you usually see change dates are the ones trying to find a good weekend to make money.

and PMS always had that..the third weekend of September was always Pittsburgher weekend for how many years?
then last year the NDRL comes along and we are out in that field the first weekend in October, now this year they jump ahead a weekend to the second weekend of September.
if they were smart(don't go there, lol)they would have stayed with the third weekend and jumped on the new Renegade series instead of the backgate bonanza that is on the schedule now.
but after watching the place deteriorate under their control I've given up trying to figure out Miley logic..they can't seem to see past the cheeseburger to get to the steak.

It wouldnt matter if it was $150 for a 3 day pass, $3000 to win late models, ect every driver that is there on a weekly basis would still be there. PPMS dont travel and stay there paying what ever it costs to get in to race. Plain and simple.

Sparkler we get the fact you hate PPMS but come on now. Miley, Feree, Mollick, Barbara, Johnson and Flinner have all raced at or won at other tracks this year. I can then name 5-8 weekly Crates who went to Sharon and the Knob on days PPMS cancelled early. The Crate points leader Dabecco has raced all over including Midway and Winchester lately. When I raced emods I ran there, Knob and Lernerville in the same year. Jeff B follows the Penn Ohio Series. Hutchko blew a motor in his Sportsman and now he races an emod at 250. Jake won 70 races at PPMS but raced an entire season at Lernerville last year. You can grind your axe about the track itself but don't lump in the drivers negatively.

I agree more ppms guys are finally getting tired of rain outs and are going elsewhere which is great for other tracks now more than ever, but then again when you only have 8-14 lates on a normal night and the list you gave makes it look like they all travel.

Yes since thats the only reason all of those guys are traveling, because it rained out a few times at Pittsburgh...

Oh and good thing PPMS rained out Saturday and the Mileys went up and rigged that Eriez race so Jared could smoke the field up there too...

Good thing PPMS rained out Saturday or else Alex would not have went to Lernerville all those days a day before and won all those races this year...

Thank goodness for PPMS raining out earlier in the year so John Mollick could go race in East Bay and make a few of those shows against Lucas Oil series....

give it up dude... some of you are ridiculous

Good post Andrew, Mr. Sparkly's rants are getting a bit tired.   Most of the better cars at Lernerville race regularly at Saturday night at PPMS.  Very few regulars at any track travel much any more, it's simple economics. The Late Model fields may be a little short at PPMS, but the racing is almost always entertaining, and the track is always in very good racing condition.  While the Pittsburgher isn't what it used to be, at least they try to have a large variety of race cars throughout the season.
