Flash I love going to Mercer, Lernerville and Sharon and have never seen anything outright favortism as sickening as what I saw at the Pittburgher fiasco 2 years ago.  Haven't been back to PPMS since and won't go back as long as the same management is there with their cars racing.    It makes me sad to think what a great track PPMS could have been if properly managed. It really makes me upset that something so close has become so bad.   Such a great location and once great facility.  Why you defend that kind of nonsense is beyond me.

I defend good racing, nothing more, nothing less.  If you've never seen favoritism at other tracks, you're just not looking.  When that call in question happened, if you'll remember, I flat out said they were wrong on this message board.  One such incident at any track would never keep me from returning, especially when the actual racing is top-notch, week-in and week-out.

Butt, I don't remember if they watered again after qualifying or after the heats, but whenever they watered, they did not water the inside again like they often do. I believe the Crate race did go non-stop and Holtgraver did come from the 8th slot, so it was certainly possible to pass.

I was wondering if you all said this race was boring or whatever, would it have been any different if it would have been Little Richards or Ziegler or someone from outside the local area who dominated like John did?

Come on, so the track was tacky, you mean no one but Mollick could figure this out?

Yes for the fans it was boring, but it is what it is. I can bet that this track will not be this way for the Pittsburgher.

Cause what would happen if all the big guys show up and the track isnt hard and slick?

The same thing happens, fast racing, big motors failing and alot of teams scratching their heads about what to do.

Ha what some local guy having a chance?! Come on what do the fans want? Good racing and an underdog in the hunt? I sure would like to see that.

With a hard and slick track the big guys have the tires "prepped" and the chassis ready. But with a tacky track it has them running to the tire truck and to complain to the track owners that the track isnt to their liking

And we wouldnt want to piss off the big guys, just cause the locals support the track all year long and keep it going doesnt mean a thing, the big boys bring in the fans and thats all that matters-the bottom line. Where were these guys on Saturday night? Support your local track is all I hear but what about the track supprting the local racers? Give it a rest this track will not be prepped like this again.

The only bad thing about the Red Miley race was that only 8 cars finished. Until some of the top dogs dropped out, the race certainly wasn't boring. I sure didn't mind that John Mollick won, his times were amazing and he is really exciting to watch like all of the other rimriders.  I generally don't have a problem with the track being prepped the way it was, but I think the grip and roughness may have been the cause of so much of the attrition.  Pittsburgh is rarely black slick anymore, but it was extra fast on Saturday.

Congrats to mollick , I became a Bloomquist fan when there was standing water on the bottom and he used it to rooster tail the track and come from about 16th in the last 15 laps of a pittsburgher and finish 2nd where the third place crew was so mad their driver wasnt smart enough to do that so they wanted to kick bloomers but LOL .. Standing water made me a bloomquist fan . true story

127 is WAY FAST ! WOW!

So the Crate motors and similar Rockets can stand up to the tacky track but the SLM can't handle it? Doesn't make sense to me. Remember only 20 cars started and a little over half dropped out of a 53 lap race. A similar ratio to a 100 laps black slick night.

One last thing- there's a huge difference between a tacky and smooth track versus a tacky rutty cornfield night. Drove both at PPMS over the years. Saturday was smooth and tacky.

That track might have been smooth in your 3000lb tank it wasn't smooth in a car weighing 2275. Yes Vince hitting holes at 8200 with 800 hp is much harder on equipment than hitting the same holes at 6400 with 400 hp. Then again how could I expect logic from you when your the guy who thinks it's reasonable that you don't even get a free pit pass to the race you spend 6 months promoting for the race track .... The way you see something's correctly .... Unions ...... And are rarely right about anything else. You argue that 7 cars finishing a race is actually better than average ??? How can you argue that hammer down conditions are no different on equipment than 3/4 or 1/2 throttle conditions ??? You ask why there's not more cars and I'm telling you why and you argue with your absurd premise that running WFO on a hammer down 5/8 mile is the same as running on a slow slick Tyler county .... The conditions Saturday are equal to 6 nights on short slick tracks and that's why guys don't come.

Jon- I also have raced emods there in a 2400 lb car with 650 HP so I do know the difference between that and a 3000 pound tank. There's nights there we were snapping ball joints, bending control arms, breaking shock mounts especially when hitting the Grand Canyon going into 3. Last Saturday was not like that.

My point is you can't blame ONLY the track when about half the cars finish a longer race. How many cars were running at the end of the Firecracker on a balls slick ice rink before it rained? You're acting like Saturday was the second coming of the 1996 Pittsburgher where it rained for 3 hours before hand lol.

If it rained 3 hours before hand that would be a reason to use 15 year offs in 4 laps .... Getting a boner over dumping water on the track isn't a reason

You were too tight and tooo much gear, and runnnig the bottom (because you were too tight and over turned)... don't make excuses again, it wasn't the track's fault. Everyone was on the same track.

Blame it on your right wing mental problem that you can't ,ever, turn left.

UNION YES!

I'm not making excuses for anything !!! I agree it's the same for everyone , but if you think those conditions are
Conducive to high car counts you are on glue. I will be back this week and the results will be much different

Again Vince and Buttbreak, i have to agree with Jon. Same reason for the fan count once the race starts it looks like hot laps, that and the fact the next features arent lined up ready to go and the constant drone of the water truck when it isnt needed. Just cause the cars can go as fast as they can doesnt mean the race is anygood.

Congrats john mollick.. Damn you were fast.. Even on the starts you had car lenths on the field going into one.. I agree with jon, why are they flooding the bottom like that? Makes for a very dangerous situation when someone gets in a little too low, not to mention I too was out of tear offs by the 4th lap of our feature.
