Why does everyone think Sunday is sooooo viable ??? People can barely afford 1 or 2 nights and you want them to run 3 ??? I understand there's only soo many cars but there's even less that can afford 3 nights. You need to give them a reason to come to your track instead of the other tracks. Racing Saturday you unload and clean the car Sunday morning and spend a couple hours each night on prep. If you run Sunday you unload Monday and now need even more time each night to prepare... What tracks are super successful on a Sunday ??? Name them

No Friday nights they get cars from the bird and the center just gotta make rules to favor all three tracks make it they can run your track and there home track still be able to compete and smart guy would try to talk to both tracks get there rules and go from there they should have went with maybe a odd ball class like modifieds or something a little different

Using a "home track format" will not work. Rules vary so much from track to track.

That's what I was getting at needs to be work done to the whole area and get one set of rules all work together this track will make it and so will the other ones but this may be the person to contact both tracks and get it under way on working for success not working toward failure they keep getting outta hand people will give up I a low budget race team looking at building another car atleast announce rules sooner rather then two weeks into the season so all winter I not working on it

5 years ago a home track format worked... there were some slight variances but nothing radical. Instead of running a 2bbl some tracks allowed a Rochester 4bbl or 2bbl.

Less is more. Time for a promoter to think outside the tired old status quo Western Pa mentality of 5 or more divisions.

Open/steel block lates combined, an open wheel division like mods or 305 sprints, and ONE stock class.

Why does the steel have to be combined? Their are more of the in this area to make a full field on fri nite and not have to run against the supers!!!!!

The steel blocks are competitive with and win against the open lates.

On a bull ring yes, but on a 3/8 mile my money is not on a steel block... but instead on an aluminum block, and not because of the HP and TQ numbers but because of the weight off the front end... a better handling car.

it was even that way at amp...we had aluminum cars start dead last and win...I wouldn't combine them unless you would make the supers put some weight on the front end and that would lead to a lot of unfair bitching...just have 2 classes

There are crate lates and open lates that is all, if you do not have a crate then you fall into the open category.

Chris Rhodes CR9 has won more than a few super late races with a steel block over the years at Thunder Valley which is quite a bit larger than Thunder Mountain.

The only Sunday tracks I know of that are any kind of successful are Eriez and Utica Rome.
