Thunder Mountain Speedway was leased tonight for a 5 year deal. Work will be starting in the next few weeks to provide you with an outstanding place to race starting the spring of '15.

If I had to guess, it will probably be specials only. If he races weekly, what night will he race? Probably Friday or Saturday, right? What was the problem up there before? Getting cars, correct? No one is willing to chance racing weekly on Sundays, which would probably be the best bet for TMS. Again, the guess here is, it will be specials only. I'm happy though, because that is a nice track.

There's no cars or money in that area ... Making money there is like scaling Everest in the winter ...

Awesome news; great person to promote the track, classes I heard are Open lates, steel block lates, Street Stocks, Pure stocks and front wheel drives; Friday night Thunder returning every week.  There are many new up-dates planned for the facilit as well.

Good news!  Here's hoping that things work out for them, and the place can be successful!  I'd like to see the 305 sprints up there a few time as well.

There are not enough open lates in the area to fill the field.

Whoever the new guy is he needs to seriously look at combining both the open and steel blocks into one division.

I've got a pretty good idea who it is. We will definitely make a few trips up there.

The very last thing the area needs is another weekly super late model track trying to make it on Fridays. It's been proven time, and time again that it won't work.

If anybody wants to get into track promotership in today's world, they have to be creative. Trying to run the same old shit isn't cutting it. Tri City and MCR failed on Fridays and AMP failed on Saturdays running the standard back gate late model bullshit program, and that's just the last few years.
