World of Outlaws Late Models return to Lernerville Speedway for the second time this season when Firecracker 100 winner Darrell Lanigan leads the series into Sarver on Friday, Aug. 29, for the inaugural Working Man 50.

“We’ve been good there in the past and finally got the big win, so I’m definitely excited to go back,” said Lanigan, a two-time World of Outlaws Late Model Series champion from Union, Ky. “They always have the track prepped well and it’s racy all night. It’s one of my favorite tracks. They definitely get a good crowd and that makes you like going to a place even more.

“Lernerville has a lot of history to it, so winning any race there is definitely a big achievement.”

One of the series’ most popular drivers, Chub Frank, hails from Bear Lake, Pa., just a short drive to the north. Frank has multiple Lernerville victories as he chases his first series win of the year.

“I always look forward to racing there,” Frank said. “That place is one of the best tracks in the country as far as I’m concerned. We haven’t been as good as I’d like to be there, but the track conditions, Gary Rich does an awesome job with the racetrack. When you get there you always know you can race on it; you just gotta get your car dialed in.

“Everybody wants to win every week, but it seems guys always race a little harder there, so it seems like something’s always gonna happen. It’s just one of those racetracks where you can race all over it, so things happen. You’re gonna get side by side and there’s always something that can happen. It usually does, which is good for the fans.”

Tickets in advance are only $29 and can be purchased online at www.WorldofOutlaws.com/tickets or by calling the track at 724-353-1511.

The World of Outlaws Late Model Series is brought to fans across the country by many important sponsors and partners, including: American Racing Custom Wheels (Official Custom Wheel), Arizona Sport Shirts (Official Apparel Company), Armor All (Official Car Care Products), Hoosier Racing Tires (Official Racing Tires), Lincoln Welder (Official Welder), STP (Official Fuel Treatment), VP Racing Fuel (Official Racing Fuel), DirtonDirt.com (Hard Charger Award) and McCarthy's One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning (Raye Vest Memorial Pill Draw Award); in addition to contingency sponsors: Butlerbuilt, Cometic Gasket, Comp Cams, Edelbrock, JE Pistons, JRI Shocks, Mobil 1, MSD, Ohlins Shocks, QuarterMaster, Penske Shocks, Roush Yates Performance Parts, Superflow Dynos and Wrisco Aluminum; along with manufacturer sponsors Capital Race Cars, Integra Shocks, Intercomp, Jake's Carts, Racing Electronics, Rocket Chassis, and TNT Rescue.

When is money going to be spent to get circuit board to fix scoreboard ???? Answer maybe next year.  Lucas series and All Star Sprints at Attica.  Where management cares about fans. Even have scoreboard that works and shows replays.

Good, go to Attica. Nobody wants your whiny ass at Lernerville anyways.

The money has been paid, months ago, services have not been rendered.  It's been one excuse after another.

We apologize for the inconvenience, but it's not for a lack of trying.

Sorry Big E.  you do a great job. But your answer is not true. Money paid months ago. Cant find anyone to install a circuit board.???  Was told by many drivers that Electrician wants money paid up front. And management wont do it.

I'm just hoping the track is prepped correctly and not slick and boring like it has been for the other WoO shows.  They prep the track right for the regular shows then when WoO rolls in they park the track prep equipment.

Where is the list of the Uncle Sam Track Packers that helped run the track in for the Firecracker?  Smokey said it was MANDATORY to run the track in or you were NOT allowed to run the Uncle Same 30.

I gaurentee that not all of those 20 cars on the grid participated in that mud fest!

Thanks.

Would Rather analyze hard facts... According to the market, the Ttm for WRG is -$18m... And according to another series site (BRP) there is still a discrepancy over $5k that was shorted by WRG. Mr. E, I'm sure you're a man of integrity... And I do appreciate lernerville as an iconic race site, however the operations of WRG itself, which is the holder of lernerville at this time are quite questionable.

Wishing all the best... And knowing the facts I to would require cash up front prior to conducting work for WRG.

The thing with the TTM is that WRG is no longer public and hasn't been for a number of years now, so that number doesn't actually mean anything.

And there is way more than meets the eye with BRP/WRG. It was handled poorly on both sides, but there is a reason that money never changed hands.

I'm not defending WRG or their business practices, but since you want to open scabs....

Can you tell me what it is exactly that the BRP tour is doing to help Modified racing in this region? Because I think that the whole concept has lived out it's usefulness, frankly. I thought the idea was to go to tracks that don't ordinarily host Modifieds but, from what I understand, many of the tracks that would like to have a BRP race can't justify the sanctioning fee. So this year, you had a race at a track that races one weekend a year (Expo), a race or two at a track that already runs Mods, albeit SB's (MRP), a race or two at a track that already hosts BB's (Sharon), and I believe a race at PPMS. That is off the top of my head, so forgive if I missed something. How is that promoting Modifieds?

Ah thanks bacon... I didn't know they were no longer public. That certainly explains the flatline for such a time. As for the BRP tour deal, well... Just a bad taste in the mouth. Racing all around seems to be struggling...

As noted, wishing the best to Lernerville... My apologies for offending, my point was after reviewing what is publicly available as well as experience I have had with WRG from an administrative perspective... Cash up front would be a must... Just as any conscientious contractor would do.

Norris took a nasty barrel roll in the third and fourth turn, didn't see it happening, only the aftermath.  Boom Briggs also took a pretty bad tumble in the first and second turn.

Isn't that the second time Norris has rolled this season or was the other one just a bad crash??
