How about when they tech a car and tell him to change it for next week, then he does and the tech guys buddy comes the next week twice as bad with the same infraction because the tech guy isn't there that week. Hmmmmm

And won that way. But no one whined about it.

Here it is right off the trailer from Saturday night! After the tech guy measured it we were 4 inches under the max hight so we bumped it up 2 inches.. Max is 45 inches to the top of the deck not to of the Spoiler. Fill free to bring your tape measurer to the track and look for your self ! And by the way that 2 inches didn't make a different on how it handed just saying...

I would interpret the rule that I just read (under general rules #17 awarding points section A)as saying you can have a sub driver 3 times. But not a sub car and sub driver. Now, I guess the grey area is how you interpret what a substitute car is. I would say it would be a car not beloning to the driver that is being subbed for. Now, if a driver is fortunate enuff to have more than one car... I would guess that he could have a sub with his other car at least 3 times according to rules. Boy, I need a drink!

Q: Are points awarded to the car or driver?
A: Points go with a combination of car AND driver. In other words, a substitute driver OR a substitute car can be used, but not BOTH. (A driver cannot have someone else use their number to get points.)) Note the following exceptions:
In the Front-Wheel Drive Four Cylinder class points go with the car. (There can be multiple drivers.)
In the Steel Block Late Model, Street Stock, and Pure Stock classes a substitute driver will be allowed up to three times within a season.

Also... Cars cannot be renumbered after racing has begun for the evening and drivers must use the same car for the feature that they qualified in, meaning a driver whose car is unable to continue can not use another one.

Straight from the FAQ section of their website. I didn't notice an amendment in the rules anywhere when I just checked. If it's there, I apologize. But if it's there, they need to update the entire site.

And 01, I'm not saying it was high this week, and I agree it certainly didn't win or lose a race. It was pointed out the week after the rumors of Shannon's car being high that he lowered it and even took the spoiler off. Yours was jacked up obviously high. The following week it was normal again. I personally don't care just don't blame a points championship on it.

I kinda feel for the 11x micro. He took 2nd in points to the 27 because he was DQ'd one night for pulling into his pit before he went to tech. I hear he got to tech like 30 seconds late that nite. I dunno, maybe he coulda changed something.

So, no spoilers or sides? 2" roof rake? Let's congratulate the winners and give an "atta boy" to those who came close. No excuses and no nit-picking or there probably isn't a legal car there.

Also just noticed..... 2012 rules? Yikes. Update please! And like I said. I don't see anything about substitution other than what I posted and that you can't switch numbers after pills are drawn.

Gotcha! Again I apologize. I read the first part about substitute driver because I thought that was the argument. If an alternate car was run, I guess that doesn't fit the rules. I've only ever heard discussion of sub drivers I guess. Never seen a sub car get run.

Off topic a little, but what's the procedure if a car gets destroyed and driver gets a different car? By the rules they couldn't accumulate points in the 2nd car? Maybe something to be addressed in the offseason. Make some 2015 rules instead of the 2012 rules. Lol. At least relabel them!

I HAVE however seen numbers duct taped on late models. As per this discovery, that was not legal either as it's not allowed in either of those classes. Only the lower classes. Strange. Not sure I like that rule, but it's the rule. Who checks to see everyone has the same car all year? Sure it's obvious in this case but what if you say you just had to build a new body when really it's a new car? Who's gonna argue? A lot of room for arguments.

I don't know this for a fact but I would guess the substitute car wording would mean someonelses car. Otherwise a guy couldn't use a back up car..... Like I said, I need a drink!
Concerning the 11x micro, he has more reason to complain than anyone.

Now from what I understood from the tech guy for micros is there is shit you can put in and pull out in a few seconds he said the 11x was most likely legal but rules are rules sucks but got to follow the rules

There in lies the problem. Rules ARE rules. Just look at the pic in the Hummingbird pure stock thread. That is a SS running with pure stocks. Have to be blind not to see infractions.
