Living in Sharpsville I am lucky to be close to Sharon Speedway and Mercer Raceway Park.  Both Dave Willoughby and Bill Altman run great tracks.  Each Saturday night I am at one of them because I CHOOSE to go there.  Just because I go to Sharon I would not come on here and bad mouth Mercer and vise versa.  I am a fan of racing and have met so many nice people at the tracks.  It drives me nuts when people come on here and bash tracks (even thought they probably were not there.)  It you do not like the track, how it is run...etc.....DO NOT GO.  Trust me the races will still go on!

Do you think Dave Willoughby and Bill Altman bring the grader and water truck out at intermission to make the racing worse?  Do you think they have staff meetings before the race and inform the staff to piss people off??  NO!!!  My point is stay home.....tracks do not need this kind of PR that the Clearfield tracks seem to get.  Don't be a 'legend!'

Instead of everyone on here crying about jeff and all the other shit..y dont you guys take some time off of racestud crying and try to run a damn track?? All you guys wanna do is bitch and moan but didnt see any of you people have any balls at all to try to get a track running...with cry babies like all you lil bitches on here there will never be a track to go to around here...so stop crying and complaining and support local tracks instead of bashing them

IMO - i dont think it has anything to do with people complaining, i think some things like running against Hummingbird and Marion Center had pretty much everything to do with it.  I dont care if someone pays you back cash and makes it right, if people have that in the back of their head that the next check might not pass, then why would they waste their time?  Im sure there is more, but lets be straight, it has nothing to do with a few complaints on racestud. If you change rules midseason and payout, what do you expect?  People should complain and let their voice be heard.  It was only after the first race, what basis did they have to do that, none, not after one race.  It's nobodys fault the weather didnt cooperate, that should be expected in early May.

someone once said if you tell the truth all the time and do not lie you never have to remember what you said in the first place , now what that means is there were a lot of lies told to people by people at the track no names being mentioned .if you chase the same cars as all the other tracks you get thin car counts why not try ( like they did the first year ) running late models at the same weight and run little guys national rules in the stock divisions because as far as i am concerned there is no real pure stocks around anymore and everyone knows it .clinton county runs e mods on hard tires and that seems to even the field no matter the engine size maybe try a hard tire rule and a shock package rule would even out the street stocks .there were ideas out there but when you take it into your own hands to change the rules over the winter with no meeting you get what you get .

You can blame race stud but that ain't why it closed. I said before Jeff tried painting a turd and pretending it was a jewel. It wasn't. Track lay out sucks, poor racing. Few times i was there track was hard slick, water ponded in bottom of 1n2. Water would splash into groove, caused spin outs and crashes. Trying to run Saturdays, messed up rules, changing rules, uncertainty on getting paid, changing purse...... None of these were racestuds fault. Jeff tried but it was a pretty steep hill to start with and he stumbled making it even tougher.

Everyone haz their own view on amp but what i am saying is wtf is gonna help when you got these people on here bashing stuff? All you see is legend and suhoney fighting...shouldnt legend be getting ready to get his ass kicked at world 100 and suhoney could be doing other stuff too instead of bashing...as for cars from the first year of amp...i do not blame jeff one bit for kicking some of them out...when you act like assholes you are gobba get treated like an asshole...there were couple instances i seen that woulda resulted in same thing...pure stock class is one there were couple cars that deserved to be booted..how many of you assholes would let someone stay at your track when 30 of them jump couple of people in the pits??? Come on now people like i said quit bashing and start supporting

There was a lot of support for that track the first year a lot of guys helped sell signs that the $$ was supposed to go into the point fund teams where given these huge dollar amounts all year long that where supposed to be given out at the end of the year so teams went out and talked to business that they knew and sold them. Teams worked hard all year winning those points at the end of the year, it was wait till spring for the banquet at the banquet they got an I owe you for a lot less than was talked about all year long. There where some teams kicked out that needed it some that didn't . As for the bounced checks when the checks bounced it was never a straight up sorry bud $$$ was tight last week it was it's not the tracks fault it was the banks fault or my favorite the sponsor checks bounced so now I don't have the cash in my account. NOW WITH PROMOTERS GOING AROUND SAYING STUFF LIKE THAT ABOUT YOUR BUISNESS WOULD YOU SPONSOR ANY THING ELSE THAT HAD TO DO WITH THAT TRACK ?
Then after he has guys build cars to his track rules and knows they have no other tracks they are legal to run he comes out at the begging of the year and blames the first weeks car counts on purse cuts. You all talk about not putting the tracks down and trying to give them helpful hints. Butt Jeff never showed up to one rules meeting the second year to talk to the guys just another slap in the face. There was no tech work done the second year as he did not have car counts to turn anybody away. Kinda liked the one week when he left the track announcer post that the payouts would be raised to get more cars there that week then that weren't . Talked this year about point fund cut the season short so there would be nothing this year. A lot of guys worked hard for those points just to be kraped on. YEAH IN MY OPINION GUYS HAVE THE RIGHT TO BASH THAT PLACE!!
FOR WHAT HE SAID TO AREA AUTO RACING ABOUT HE CANT HANDLE ALL THE COMPLAINING, HE WAS THE ONE THAT SAID ALL YEAR LAST YEAR TELL ME YOUR COMPLAINTS I CAN HANDLE THEM.
IN THE END WHEN THE BANK ROLL WAS BLOWN ON DONUTS AND GUYS SITTING AROUND ALL WEEK LONG GETTING PAID FOR NO PRODUCTION I GUESS HE JUST COULD NOT HANDLE IT.
That's the last thing I will say about Amp sorry if you don't like it it's JMO.

Pretty much sums it up......

Now, go support another local track. Survival of the fittest. There needs to be less tracks, but better quality tracks in the area. And by quality tracks, I don't mean a place like eldora or Knoxville is going to work in this region. I'm saying quality, as in, treat the fans and racers with honesty and respect. Provide a good show that is affordable and enjoyable for everyone from the diehard fan to a kid looking for something different to do with his/her buddies on a weekend. I don't know all the answers to make that happened but Jeff Taylor has provided us with a good example how NOT to do it. Thanks for the slap in the face. Glad I didn't invest in your smoke and mirror show.

when my lottery numbers hit and i buy the place( LOL) the first thing we are going to do is fix the problems with turn one and two by adding banking to it and then some drainage to the inside so the mud puddle goes away  then we are going to revamp the rules late models are run what ya brung no weight limit ....no more pure stocks because we all know those guys are all cheating anyhow so here is the new class .....358 hobby stocks rules depending on a little guys nationals type rule ...super streetsocks with unlimited engine size and clip cars allowed also a type of run what ya brung class with no tech then the last class will be the semi late class and you must run  the rules as they are now but you have to run a wedge style body .now all i have to do is start buying lottery tickets .as for 116 octane you hit the nail on the head there were more guys being paid at the track than enough i have never been to a track that had full time employees and parking lot attendents to let you out of a track. oh before you start bashing me most of this post was a joke . :)
