Mainstream media and stick/ball crowd are having a field day with this, given the recent antics of the NFL game players. It's all about "balance", like all the news. I wonder how many members of the "Grand Jury" have ever been to a sprint car race let alone driven one? A sad witch hunt, in my opinion; most headlines make it sound like it happened in a Nascar event.

Ken Rice on KDKA even called Kevin Ward, Jr. a "NASCAR driver" last night on the 11:00 news. Shows how much he knows about the whole deal!! This from a station that almost never gives NASCAR results on Sunday night!!

Yes I also saw it on the NBC Nightly News. By the way Walt, Brian Williams does have a racing background, that's why I watch him.
From his Wiki page....
Williams is an avid fan of NASCAR in both the local and national levels. He was first exposed to auto racing as a child attending races on dirt tracks all over upstate New York. In 1999, Williams was the studio host of the first NASCAR race ever shown on NBC, the Pennzoil 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Two years later, at NASCAR's awards banquet in New York City, he introduced a videotaped tribute to Dale Earnhardt, who had died at the Daytona 500 some months earlier. Earnhardt and Williams had become close friends.
A 2012 promo for Rock Center with Brian Williams features a baseball motif, with the journalists' jerseys. Williams' jersey, similar to Kansas City Royals managerNed Yost, in honor of his Earnhardt friendship, carried #3.

Is it really conceivable for Tony to get a fair trial let alone and unbias judgement from the grand jury? The horrible fact that this is being conducted in New York does not bode well for justice or Tony. That's the same state that sent Buress away for 2 years, 2 years for possesion or a fire arm.
If the grand jury votes that evidence exist to move forward with a case, I vote that we hold Riots at every short track in America, it only seems right.

This is an excellent interview that was on KDKA radio a while back:
http://pittsburgh.cb...ewart-accident/
Apparently the radio personality spent some time in Central PA in the past and knew Mr. Locke-
I watched his son Howie race for years, and we raced with his son Derek when he ran karts.

I said that there was going to be some sort of prosicution because the investigator was taking a long time, if he would have found no wrong doing he would have said it after a week or so. This is probably the end for Tony as far as his racing career..

My take on it would be that this is a young DA or a DA that is up for reelection soon and does not want to be perceived by the community as doing nothing. He will pass it on to the grand jury and they will have to make the decision so the DA can save face. I could be off base but I do not think that there is much they can do criminally but the civil suit will be a big one.. In the end Tony has to live with the fact that a young kid used poor judgment. He may never be the same again.

Plymouth really dude ?? Are you cheering for his prosecution ??? If any rational people look at the facts he walks
No I'm not cheering it but I said that the prosicuter was taking a very long time and that didn't bode well for Smoke. A lot of you on here said nothing will come of it, well right or wrong it did..

Walt , that is why I call it what i do . The network ( ABC CBS NBC CNN CNBC New york times etc ) The mainstream Progressive media tells the same crap on every number on the dial but is the same channel.
NBC Doctored the 911 call tapes in the Travon martin case to make Zimmerman sound like a Racists . ..
if you google it you will find they did it and do not apologize for it .
there is even documentation of taxpayer money spent by the justice department to send people to protest for Zimmermans indictment !
Sound Crazy ? Would this be News worthy ? .. Not in the Sodomite Progressive journalism world .
If you become their target .. they will say or do or make up anything and print it or Run it on the network .. and while the victim is defending it .. they will already be sodomizing another story or 10 or 20
Dan Rather : remember the George bush didnt serve honorably skit .. The Network threw him under the bus on that one because it was a contrived lie to sway the election ..
Sodomite Journalism
it is subtle most of the time but blatent allot of times and i see more and more people are starting to notice !

Local police departments really need to stay out of on track incidents...we all know if it would not be Tony Stewart this would not be happening.

If this had happened at AMP, we wouldnt have ever heard about it because the cops dont show according to former AMP promoter Opie taylor.

The investigation was over about a week after the incident, because no new evidence was found, and the investigators had no plans to charge Tony when they turned it over to the DA. I know that for a fact.
This is a case of a grandstanding DA looking to make a name for himself. The ONLY reason this is even going to the grand jury is because some pile of white trash released a grainy video on YouTube. It's small town politics at its worst.

The investigators don't bring charges, they do "investigation." Only the DA can bring charges in jurisdictions where indictments come down by grand juries, rather than DA informations. In high profile cases, this is more true than ever. Apparently, this man has been serving as the Ontario County DA since 1989.
