There are many of these cars out there and ready, I know everyone that never visited the place knows all of reasons why it did not make it; but do you think that maybe there are other reasons. They race this class at racing for heroes as well and I believe they had 14 or 15 of them recently even going against Friday night lights. Racing for heroes is going to have this class as the only Late Model class next season. Between the two tracks there are over 30 of these cars that raced.

I would strongly consider it; not just because I have two of them, but because it is an affordable class and if Properly teched; can be a very large field of cars. there are at least 35 of them around and they put on a good show.
If there are that many cars around why did AMP only have single digit car counts?? Even from the results I seen from Racing For Hero's the highest count I seen was 12 one night and only 20 have run for points throughout the season. And out of those how many would travel to Hummingbird??

There were nights of 14 or 15 at Racing for heroes without our cars because of Friday night football. Two of the Racing for heroes cars towed to hummingbird on a couple of occasions this season. There was also a few of them that made the tow to AMP for a few events. This class is in its second season, with the engine and suspension rules, it will continue to grow.
I stand corrected, there were 13 on a couple of occasions.

From a business stand point what would you do??
Get rid of a class that's bringing in 20+ to 30 cars a night in its first season along with their crews, family, and friends which no doubt pays their own purse if not another divisions too??
Or would you gamble and bring in a class that in two years has only produced car counts from the single digits to low teens??

I said consider for a reason, I have good friends that race Micros and race them there. I never said throw them out or anything against them at all nor would I. I believe any racer and race team are a part of the racing family and I enjoy watching every division. The post asked if they should look into it, I think any business that does not re-assess at the end of the season is in for trouble. Doing the same thing because that is what we did before stymies growth and eventually leads to making hard decisions. Lastly, I was at Hummingbird 5 times this season and I think the highest Micro count was 13 or so. Yes they are like every other division, sometimes when things happen, for some reason they do not come back out. It may be break down or any other possible reason. After the special night on the 4th of July,, they averaged 14 cars for the rest of the season. Approximately the same for every other division.

actually slap nuts they were the highest count class at amp more then anything but the 305s..there were always at least 10-15 or more...and i know Clinton County gets a whole different set of guys so if you could get them all together you would have a great field...So there's a 1000 of these cars out there but amp never had more than 7 at one time lol makes perfect sense ...

As a limited late car owner I have personally talked to 10 or more other owners who would like nothing more than to run in this class again next year either at hummingbird or thunder mountain. This class has potential for fast growth if it didn't why does Clinton County have 14 or more cars racing on Friday nights with some missing for high school football games? I say racefuel01 if your serious promote the class and call Louie and get a meeting with the other car owners and interested people on a Sunday afternoon and lets talk about the possibility. Post a time and date on here and get it ironed out. I am with you on this class but which class to drop I can't say that's a decision only the track owner can make. my opinion only! not everyone's. Thanks for bringing the topic up.

what happens when some of these guys who are running a LM on a pure stock budget get tore up? I dont care what motor you put in it, when you wreck it its still a LM to repair.

Racefuel1, you really think it is fair to rip on the micro for not wanting to race for a trophy when was a money race at another track that night? Will the street stocks show up for that? I don't have a problem with the late model class at all(would think about the class myself)Are they willing to run for the micro pay? If not where will the money come from? Are they willing to run for 50 dollars? Don't know who you are put you clearly don't own a car(or you wouldn't rip on any class ever for not wanting to run for no pay) or run a track(Or you would be worried about the payout). We need suggestions for racing to grow!
Sounded like you are ripping on them.
The crowd was pretty good on most nights at hummingbird(Not there every night).
Just not sure were the money comes from for this class. If the guys and gals with these cars will run for the micro pay let me know and I will get one myself.(I would run for the micro pay). Keep in mind micro's run on a sliding scale. The late model's might be running for 150 to win!!!!!!!!
Most Micro guys live over 75 miles away and they can't afford to run for a trophy.
Thanks
Bobby
