That's going to depend what tracks offer incentives to run them and how dry said tracks keep the surface .

Last year I spoke to management at lernerville and they responded that same rules apply. So instead of fielding a car. I placed it in my rat rod instead. These tracks need to realize they need to support these programs or lm counts will continue to drop off. I would put a car on the track if tracks supported these engines to the degree that they can run with the rest of the field.

Ed Ferree ran a 402 spec engine at ppms, he did not run the 525. Mel Minnick ran a CT 525 at roaring knob and won a feature with it last season.

PPMS bumped up the CI limit on the spec motors a couple seasons ago. The 406 is only allowed a 10 inch spoiler, while the 360 is a 12 inch spoiler

For Christ sake enough of this spec motor shit and 525 stuff. If you choose to run one of those engine packages then you should run the normal body rules every other car runs.

Someone was running one long before there were rules for a 400+cu/in spec motor.

Same-old,same-old.

If you don't like the body rules..... you'll hate the tire rule.

Rules, you can wipe your azz with the integrity of enforforcement, the biggest snow job in all local racing.

IMHO

Brad where are all of these full fields of 525's and specs at ???? Ppms allowed that option and averaged about 9 cars a night.

You mean like the twelve car Crate Late Model features that go on at many of the tracks that have them? The same Crate concept that was going to save racing for all human kind because it was so affordable? The same Crate concept that sucks resources and  money from the Super Lates? The same Crate concept that was going to be a stepping stone to Supers, but to date, the only two in the area I know of are Colton Flinner and Dan Angelicchio? The same Crate concept that adds nothing to the show other than to pad the back gate? And put money in the pockets of people like you?

You got a lot of balls to comment about adding yet more rules to an "open" division so that you can step in and make more money. It's not that I have a problem with you making money, just don't make it sound like you're in it to help the "poor racers", because then you start to sound like one of the promoters around here. There are people that field cars that don't have a ton of money, yet they get by. Now you are telling those teams they have to run at a disadvantage because some jabroni wants to buy a 525 crate motor? Who the hell is going to tech them with so many tracks running SLM's? You? Or are we going to see games played, like some teams that run Crate engines in the Stocks at Lernerville?

Crates were also supposed to help the supers by giving them a place to sell used cars .... That worked for 10 minutes until people started buying brand new rockets to run crates lol lol. Then that cheap CHP fuel and cheap shocks and letting them run soft tires so it's basically a go cart held wide open ...just like they made stocks affordable by letting them run late model tires and modified suspensions to be able to put more power down and require less driving talent ...

That is the dumbest thing I've read all morning..I hope Hicky is joking.

In my mind crate racing controls the two biggest expenes in racing. 1. Motor cost including rebuilds 2. tires

If you DO NOT see the benifits for the 604 crate your either not at tracks or have not paid the bills for a race car in the past.

I have no problem buying new equipment to race crates. Its not about getting rich, its about having an option that allows a team with some money to run good equiment without a $6k motor rebuld every year.

Super guys should be begging RUSH to do a open motor series, its done right.
