Per Victor Fernandes' twitter, @ETNfernandes, on Friday afternoon:  "What's going on with the #Eriezspeedway sale? Nothing...Bob Rohrer & Bill Catania are going back to negotiating, no timetable is set #erie."

He went on to say that Bill canceled their meeting and hadn't called him back.  He had also not heard from Rohrer.

Don't think anyone knows for sure what's going to happen but when someone comes in guns a blazing promising the World to the racing community it brings back visions of KC Spurlock and John Kennedy and we seen how their promises ended up.....

Spike 410 sprints are insanely expensive to race. If you think an extra hundred dollars is going to get significantly more cars your out of your mind.

Meanwhile, back to Lernerville.  They lowered what constitutes a full field.  Previously sprints went from 24 to 20.  Based on that,  of the 15 shows in 2014 , they only had a  full field on 7 occasions.  They didn't on eight.  If 24 was still the norm for a field, they had a full field on just 3 shows.   If they lower the full field number to eighteen, they would have had a full field on 13 of the 15. And if they had just lowered the full field requirement to 14 , they would have had a full field every night.  Must be paying enough. It was a full field.   And it might be easier to get to the front if you start 14th instead of 24th.  Maybe not.  But you don't have to pass so many cars and you have a better chance for a top ten finish. And even if you don't pass anyone,  sounds better to tell everybody you finished 14th instead of 24th.

They went to the twenty car field because of the Goodyear tire deal. It was a concession, for lack of a better word. They took the money from those last four positions and spread it throughout the field. It was shitty, but didn't really impact the field that much other than losing a couple of mid pack cars that now just run MRP. The economy, allure of running WoO or ASCoC and old age has had more of a negative impact.

There are some tough young drivers in the 410's. If they can keep themselves in decent stuff, there should be some great local racing for the next few years.

It's all relative....just like our local SLM racing. If you're going to travel, yes, it is insanely expensive. You can run locally using second hand stuff and be very competitive if you are willing to work at it. Having titanium fasters that shave a few ounces off the car is not needed to win a regular show at Lernerville or MRP.

Hey.  I didn't say anything about an extra hundred dollars. Just gave the Lernerville results.  Yes, the Goodyear deal was a s----- deal. But not for Goodyear and not for Lernerville.  That must mean that the Hoosier deal was not s----- for Hoosier and not s----- for Lernerville.
