Putting this out there, not sure to build as a steel block or aluminum block?
We are putting together a limited car and not doing much super racing, so I'm selling my spare engine. It can be bought as a aluminum block motor, or a steel block, since it's not back together yet. Brand New forged crank and rods, 4" stroke, Brodix 18 deg. CNC heads which have a fresh valve job and all Brand new Manley valves. Has an Alum 18 deg intake, jesel shaft rockers. Roller cam, gear drive. The aluminum block is a Donovan block, and it is not the sprint block so it has the motor mount bosses & stock oil filter location. The steel block is a GM block with studded steel played caps. Either block can be either dry sump or wet sump. Either way the motor will be complete from intake to pan with water pump and pulleys, and will able to be heard running on test stand if desired.
I just don't know which way will sell the easiest, so mi figured I'd ask on here for some input. Motor is gonna be assembled as soon as limited motor is done, which will be around end of next week.
Thoughts?
$7500 as steel block, $9000 as Alum block.
