Racesaver and OSW seal their motors the same way.The thread starts with the Tri-city rules and the cheating motors at Mercer.
With Racesaver no one bitches about someone cheating up a motor they are Racesaver sealed.
I think the GM sealed 602 would be the best and most economical way to start into Sprints.

And a 5.3 is not a 305. Are both the Racesaver heads and the All Pro heads on 305 CI blocks?Racesaver and OSW seal their motors the same way.

How may engine guys can tag OSW engines?
Do they have to put up a $30,000.00 bond?

Let's put this high engine cost in perspective. It is not about the cost of the engine racers go to race, weather they run in the back or the front for one reason and one reason only, to win. It's the same reason fans go to the track, it's to see who wins. That's it that's why people race.
All this race save your, chevy truck engine, small block, seal this or seal that is about racers entering a class of racing where they can do .... guess what? win...
Each and ever racer out there knows darn well, if they get a good pill draw and things go right, they have a chance to start on the front row and... guess what .... they all know there perfectly capable of checking out and they will .... win.
It ain't about the money, it ain't about speck this or speck that or tech this or tech that, some have the money and some don't. It's only about winning and the value you put on winning. Some want to win, no matter what the class or car count. Some want to win in the biggest so called most competitive class. If your racing to see who is the fastest, some want to win in what ever is fastest because what's the point of racing, if your not racing the fast stuff, to see who is fastest. But no matter what, it's about one thing and one thing only. winning.
Sure engine builders build engines to get rich and feed their family, the same as chassis builders. ... but ya know what? Their real interest is to have their stuff, ... win.
... to heck with all this. just go race, help out racers or watch the fruits of other's labors.
... now I think this old man will go and help his wife finish a little wine. ...
All that really matters is Friday is coming, it's not going to rain; and are you going to Attica, Lernerville or raceway 7. Let's go to the races.

Don't know if you used a hammer or a nail gun, but you nailed that one Legend.Dirt student you are soooo off base ... Costs mean nothing ???? Do guys just hit up the money tree in their back yard ???? Plenty of racers know they dont have and can't afford what they need to win but their challenge is to see how well they can do with with they have

Both of you are correct, reading only one post I made.
In the last post I wrote, "some have the money and some don't.".
It was a follow up to what I wrote in post #34. I was aware of what I previously wrote in this thread, you two kindly pointed out how not all are aware of previous posts, thank you.
In post #34 I wrote, " Back to entry level.
If your starting out there is a lot to learn. If you have the funds and you can afford a $30,000 engine to run with the OSW, then that is what you should do. Starting out if you can afford it, there's nothing much better you can do then to spend the $30,000 and take the question of is your engine good enough, out of your learning curve. Learning ain't easy no matter what you race.".
I expressed that if your starting out and have the funds for a top priced engine, buy one and take the engine out of the equation. I don't just think, I believe every racer does the best they can. I also believe every racer has thoughts, dreams of, and works toward winning.
Both of you are correct. I did not include enough follow up in my last post, to make it understandable to all. I seldom am able to write anything, understandable to all. In fact most what I write when I read it again, is not understandable to me. ...

It cost money to race period! if you dont have enough figure out how to get more! if you can afford to run a 410 ,do it! if you can afford to run a 305 ,do it. there will always be those who have better stuff than others, that is just life! I sure hope we are not trying to make racing a socialist sport where everyone has the same stuff ,it will never happen. When i started racing I was always saying..... if i had what the other guy had I could do better... then I figured out the only reason I didnt have what he had was because of me.. no one else. I had to figure out how to make more money or get sponsors if i wanted to race. do the best with what you got or figure out how to get more, but there is really no sense bitching about it. half of the people dont care and the other half are actually glad if you struggle.
