up their game....ie open the wallet further.

Nope, just run old junk and whine about getting beat by people with good equipment.

Why didnt their golden boy "andrew gordon" win with that new $60,000 roush motor?

He most likely would have if not for LR tire going flat. Why are you so concerned with what andrew gordon has under the hood? He is not a Thunder Mountain regular. He chooses to travel to tracks with stiffer competition. I'm pretty sure if he ran weekly at the Bird and thunder Mountain he'd have multiple wins. I'm not sure why some people have a hard on for the kid, envious maybe. His family has given him the opportunity to drive some good equipment. So what!

Other classes I can see the argument, but in late model why would you bitch about folks spending money. It's the highest class they offer. Why should someone run junk if they can afford good equipment. Congrats to those who run well on a budget, but in late models there is no real limit. I'd want the best and new stuff too so you don't have DNFs over worn out equipment.

Throwing money at it isn't the solution.

Will YOU be at the firecracker? Your equipment is good enough. These guys have good equipment and are STARTING to win races. I'm not about to say they're ready to run with the best in the country. You can't question their abilities until you can match them. By your logic, if a guy gets a brand new car and wins a few races at jennerstown, his next step should be to sit on the pole at Daytona.

All of Powells buddies (or just one with multiple names) are on here every week talking about how he is the best talent around right now in a late model so why wouldn't he be at the Firecracker??? So I'm guessing he will be there??

Exactly all these hillbillies on here are wanting to give him a rusty trombone calling him a " top late model talent " GTFO with that stupid shit ... Miley and Barbra are top local talents

I agree, no one should be claiming "top talent". But they are doing well and you can't take that away from them. Their level of success can only be measured by their goals for the year. Was the goal to run competitively and maybe win a race? Or was the goal to win half the races they enter? Was it to win a championship at their home track? Or make the world at eldora? Success is very relative and can only be measured by those who know the teams' goals. Everyone else is just tossing words around, good or bad.

If throwing money at the problem wasn't the answer, all of your top caliber teams wouldn't be spending hundreds of thousands of dollars.   The proper use of money is as important as set up/driver and engine.  Speed costs money my friend.

What mbr is saying is that Kevin Rumley is an Ivy League engineer that heads a company owned by a NASCAR driver that has access to top notch data acquisition and testing techniques and that buying all of the parts rumley uses to build shocks doesn't mean you can build what he does ... Yet a lot of the local clowns watch Jonathan Davenports car and make zero effort to get theirs to maintain the same attitude lol. Everyone knows everything though ... It's always what so and so told them lol I really wish I had time to race every week to shut the mouths of you lucktards

Not sure if you took what I said the wrong way, or if you were even responding to my comments, but I respect what you do Jon. You have good equipment that you take pride in and you race how and where/when you want to. All I was saying is it's crazy to think someone needs to go to the firecracker to prove themselves in the first year they see success at their home track. I think that's beyond what they expect of themselves at this point. It's their buddies/keyboard racers that are making them look bad making promises of the second coming of bloomquist after turning a fast lap in hot laps.

Make the time or stop whining about how you'd smoke everybody if you had the time. Bottom line bub, if were able to go out and "shut the mouth of you luckturds" you would be doing it.
