The best thing to happen to PPMS would be a multi-millionaire buying it who is willing to lose a bunch of that fortune bringing it up to snuff.

Sadly, I don't see that happening.

The Mileys wouldn't let that happen anyway.  2 people have wanted to buy the track and make improvements, they wouldn't let either buy it.

I swear you don't think sometimes, since when is gravel so expensive that Eldora is the only track that can afford it to fix their pit issues?  There must be a gravel shortage that I'm not aware of.  Besides, last time I checked every promoter in the entire country has the same opportunity to become as successful as Earl Baltes was.  With PPMS's location the place should be as successful as Eldora, if not more.

Eldora has cement pads throughout the pits?  And I am willing to bet the amount of area needed to cover with said gravel isnt a ho-hum amount like you seem to think it is.  We arent talking about a 200 foot driveway here

im thinking that about 300 ft is close. 6 tri-axles should do it. Dont you think lol.

How about draining it into the giant empty field outside of turns 1 and 2!? Eldora put down some nice material in their infield where it's not paved so that it doesn't get muddy at all, PPMS could easily do the same.

they should do a bridge and tunnel like in 1/2 at pennsboro. Just do it in 3/4 so it drains over the hill. That way it serves two purposes. Drainage and crossing under green flag racing.

Lol yeah Matt, that sounds about right, and gravel won't get stuck in all the tires mixed with mud either and be flinging all over the place giving more complaints.

And gear head your gravel idea, is this going to cure the flooding issues also? It will stop it from being muddy and I'm guessing this is some hybrid gravel that soaks up water also?

6 tri axels of stone wouldn't cover the pits but it would make it a lot less muddy than zero tri axels

If you could read at all, you would see where I first said to fix the drainage. Good lord, don't any of the schools nowadays teach reading comprehension?

So it's looking like the normal tri axle load for crushed stone is 15-18 yards at 15-20 dollars per yard... We will round it out and say Ppms would need about 150 yards to cover just the MIDDLE of the pits... So using generous numbers you could say 150 yards multiples by a generous $18 is 2700 bucks to cover just a small portion of the pits ONE TIME OVER... And that's without delivery fees and the proper licenses and permits to do such a dump.

Start saving gearhead, with all your school smarts you have above all of us you should be able to raise that in no time!
