Lynn Geisler still races at PPMS, he raced there on June 6, the first Late Model show of the year and finished in 7th spot. I suspect he may have been on vacation due to the Fourth of July weekend.

Funny thing....In the off season we heard that Steve Baker and Ben Miley both retired! John Flinner has retired a few times, and Not sure but I think Ed has retired once or twice as well. Geisler is old enough to retire but hasn't!(Where was he)? Sure hope all these guys keep racing! PMS might be done without them! As good as the Legend is...He still needs some cars to race with(follow).

Yes, those three do not like to race anymore, and enjoy spending money for no reason other than to help boost a car count. I often wonder where some of you come up with these ridiculous reasons for people racing, not racing, etc.
Did it ever occur to you that they all still enjoy racing and still have the passion to do so? I am pretty sure Mr. Baker could find plenty of other things to do on a saturday night if he really wanted to, and Ed would most likely still be there watching Alex race, if neither of them did not want to race anymore, I think they are capable of making the decision to not race, and race well at that. Did you notice that Steve was up front? It isnt like they are field fillers, they compete.
So sorry to say, but "I would say your'e wrong"

I may have read the rules incorrectly. But, it does say 1 spill board on the nose and in the diagram shown it is off the left front and I believe that is only if your running a spec motor. Come on. The ONLY reason Ed, Ben and Geisler show up is to add car count. If you don't believe that, I would say your wrong. People say Lynn may not have shown for various reasons. I for one have to wonder how much longer will you see the Cochran #1 out there. Lernerville yes, because of the close proximity of the dealership. It has been said the money for the sponsorship has been cut back. The days of back pocket teams running multiple night's a week is long gone.
Um, you do realize Cochran has a dealership about five minutes from PPMS, right?

#1 Cochran Flagship in Monroeville is the same distance from Sarver as it is to PPMS. 29-30 miles no matter how you split it.

any one of those so called field fillers have won recently, or can win any given night. They are still fast and love to race. Just because they are getting older doesn't mean anything.I may have read the rules incorrectly.
