That's sad. And only 15 cars there total for a tour race. I would say the dynamic duo has ruined crate racing in the northeast.

Most touring races have 30+ cars, I think it's safe to say the low car counts were due to the fact that it was on a Wednesday night.

I don't think there has been over 26-28 cars at a tour race this year besides the big show at Winchester. There is only 4 guys that appear to be following for points.

Correct jms22!!!   Most drivers running the RUSH series have full time jobs and find it hard to get away for a mid-week race!!   Especially one several hours away!!

GOOD RACING!!

tour race counts have been down at all the tracks wayne county had 25 for there Monday night show then 28 for a Saturday show july 4th expo race used to draw in the 30s thing is expo was 1500 to win 185 to start with a entry fee of 75 also this year they went with a northern and southern tour with entry fees and all the travel its not worth it.

Touring races are only good for 2 things. #1, if your chasing points, #2, getting time in the seat to gain experience at different tracks. With the $75-$100 entry fee + $40 in fuel plus towing you're breaking even. Then there are usually quite a few cars getting torn up, and that never helps the bottom line.

Thanks. I missed that show. Just ashame there used to be at least 38 cars or more at every tour race but they ruined those days.

What do you mean by "co-exist"??   The American Racer Series seems to be doing fine at Marion Center & Dog Hollow!!  And it appears to me to be more of a tire deal that a track or race sanction like RUSH & FASTRAK.

First off they stabbed Stan Lester in the back and created another crate touring series to create two touring series in the northeast therefore splitting car counts in half.

Don't know if that is true or not!!   They were doing all the work and maybe Lester wasn't paying them enough??   Go back to 1953 when John Marcum bolted NASCAR and formed MARC (Now ARCA).  Over the years I have heard stories both ways as to who was cheating who.  I don't know the real truth and probably never will.  Same with Vicki vs. Lester.  Who really knows???
