Some guys like building their own engines. Too expensive for guys to switch over. Some drivers will go elsewhere. No reason to do it. Best stock car racing I have ever seen. Please don't change it.

Dickracer99.... i have to disagree why would you change the rule when your getting a full field of cars every night? If you get rid of the 400s. You will loose at least a hand full of cars.

If nobody stands up to what is taking place then the buck stops there. Get a petition going, present it 2 the new track owners. State your car counts, from 2015 and let them no in 2016 your going to lose cars.

dickracer99 is this racing your are talking about? your view point sounds like some govt. control bullshit.  If you do not have money to field a car then stay home!!! all this rush bullshit shoved down everybody's throat by medusa is getting beyond old. Why so many rules for the stock's anyhow? set weight at 3,000 lb. for any engine combination and RACE!!  If a "stock" crate can beat open motor's why is there any push to be all crate engines. the answer is icky Vickie will be getting benefits from this not the racer that has to scrap a open engine to buy a crate slug to please the welfare class. Hell maybe they can get Obama to come there and do a smoke and mirrors speech to convince the racers why the crates are so gooood!! he might even hand out racing access cards to those less fortunate that can't afford to buy food let alone field a damn racecar.

If the crate is competitive and has even won some races, why do you call it a slug?

I agree^^

People don't want to realize that a crate can dominate on any night. I personally don't know that it will benefit that class to switch over to all crates. BUT people need to realize that the track is trying to keep this class low cost and easy to get into. If every single racer is spending 2-3 times the money of a crate, on their own engine then the class gets way too broad of a spectrum of racers competing, making it nearly impossible for people to pick up racing.

The point is.....some people in the stock class are spending well over $10,000 on a motor, if you're spending that much on a stock car motor you need to move up to another class. But if the tracks keep allowing people to buy these big open motors and let them compete every week, how can anyone afford to compete with them? This is the stock car class, it's the class that everyone should try to start in as a racer.

Lernerville and RUSH are trying to keep the class competitive but affordable. Get your head out of your asses people.

Let every one keep the motors they have (create or open) put everyone on 8 inch tires that will help keep cars more competitive  with each other.

Here we go....I have a question.

Lernerville rules state open motor weight is 3100/604 is 2900/602 is 2600.

I would venture to say that most of the guys running a crate motor have the newer design SS chassis which is a lighter car designed to take advantage of the weight break.

If I'm running an older, heavier car.... I may need a "larger" open motor to compete with these cars. And I can maintain (freshen up) myself, unlike a crate motor.

The track mandates crate motors for next year.... thats $5700 for a motor, if I choose.

What do i do for a chassis so that I'm competetive? Are the weights going to increase for next year to 3100 across the board, with a small cut fot the 602?

Or do i have to spend another couple grand on a chassis to be able to hang with those that already have the lighter cars?

Wow.... The crate only option really saved me a whole lot of money!!!! ....Or just drove me completely out of racing !!!!

Never said anything about making a Stock Car Guy run a 602 or 604. I think there should options.  I just said no 400s or 383s.  Jack Off

I said IF you are spending over $10,000 on a stock car motor you need to move up in classes. I did not say EVERYONE is spending 2-3 times what a crate motor costs.

The guy winning with a crate just got tore down to the bare block at Lernerville on Friday. No cheated up crate there nor was it anywhere near $10,000.
