That's funny!
But that or a 602 is what you'll need to run at LV next year.

There has to be a heavy mark up on those crate motors for so many people fighting for a piece of the pie ...

We will sit in the back yard and watch the grass grow before I run a crate!

I agree with Bob. I refuse to run a crate engine. Out of the 30 cars listed that competed this year:

- 10 have crate engines
- 6 potential cars who might buy one
- It's rumored that (2) 604 crate engines will be raffled off (maybe more) and they have a 602 they can give somebody to use.

Pretty bad when you have to "raffle off" engines to gain car counts. I guess the loss of the good competition, there sponsors, fan base and crews is worth it for next year. If it fails you will see crate late models replacing a great division of cars that we've had for many years now. Somebody is drinking the crate kool aid but remember what happened to the followers of Jim Jones.

I'm curious to see how all this works out.  Is it really intended to help the Sportsman survive since up to 18 existing drivers do or will have one?  Or, it is simply a ploy to move to Crate Lates in 2017 or beyond as part of the Fab 4?  Time will tell.

If they (RUSH) have deep enough pockets to give away over $10,000 in engines, makes you wonder what kind on a kicker the track management is getting?

And to that end... this whole saving the racer money is a big smoke and mirror show, it's about lining pockets !!!!

We all may be racers.... but we are not that stupid....

I can't believe the new owner is letting this happen. you racers should be calling a meeting with him.

I have talked to them in person & they think that Gary knows best & he thinks we all need to do this to save the class. I cannot stress how pissed I am. We have raced there for over 20 years & now it looks like me & all my frends & fam. will never spend a dime at that f'en place again

I count 6 crates
