Agree 100%That was one of the best Late Model races I've ever seen, anywhere. Great racing top to bottom! Keith Barbara coming from last to 9th (although he got screwed when Landers and someone else stole his position before the restart for some reason). Where are all the naysayers at today? If the lights would have went out or the track would have been dusty there would have been 50 comments this morning. Give credit where credit is due. The Miley put together a great race weekend. We were done by like 9:30pm both nights.

That was one of the best races in track history. There are very few tracks in the country where the drivers can race on literally every inch of the racetrack like they were last night. That is why everybody is so critical of the place...it could be the Eldora of the East, if not better, if they would invest in the place and put effort into it. Just run monthly specials for the Late Models and build the Pittsburgher up to a Crown Jewel again.
Not to say I told you so, but as I have been stating for years if they run in the moat at the bottom of the track it would be another racing groove. Well guess what, they did that and at times that was the best groove on the track. They could have raced another 100 laps on that track and it still would have been good. Nobody will be complaining about the camping or admission prices now, great weekend.

Agree one of the best touring races I've been to in years.
Track prep and weather made for desirable track conditions.
Hats off to Brian and crew!
The infrastructure is still crumbling, literally. I hope some of the $ we all invested there this weekend gets reinvested... in some 21st century lighting, sound, and equipment .
The layout of the facility is great, now the facility needs to be laid out!

Now thats racing! I have to agree that is one of the best Pittsburghers I have seen.
On the floor, to the wall, flat out fast racing.
I do believe Lucas ran the show and there was still a lower groove that could have been ran in, but Lucas wanted it that way. The track prep was right what Lucas wanted.
So why cant they do that every week? Maybe then there would be more people in the stands and more cars in the pits?! Now if a local team could be added to the mix, it would be even better! Satterlee was coming but got bit by the wall!

What I really enjoyed about last night was the fact that something was going on at the front of the pack for the entire 100 laps. If you blinked, you missed something. Sometimes at Pittsburgh the leader checks out and you start watching battles going on farther back. I am always impressed by the talents of the professional racers, but last night they outdid themselves. A big shout out to all the drivers, they've got some big balls.

Why on earth do they need passing points ????? Oneil came from the back ... Plenty of drivers advanced positions and the battle for the lead was incredible ... If anything last night proves you don't need any of that BS to have a good race
You answered your own question! Oneal coming from the back was great to watch, so why not have the same action in the heat races? Straight up heats on that track are boring, The heats at Florence are awesome because drivers pass entire fields from the back.

In a perfect world we wouldnt need series to have these big races, just a big purse and they will come.
No pressure for the teams to show alliance to a certain series. Just fast racing against some good teams. Pennsboro comes to mind. The fans will show if the big boys come.
FMI (for my info) why didnt PPMS give a guarenteed spot to its champion? I think this is the first time I can remember that this didnt happen. So much for supporting your local track! LOL!
