Like I stated you work hard all year, to have someone come in (who doesnt support the track all year), and win 1 race, (with an open tire rule) to get a spot in the tracks biggest race?!
Call me crazy but it seems unfair to me!

Vince is right, and exactly why the one provisional went to the Red Miley winner. It was clearly advertised ahead of time that the said winner would get a guaranteed starting spot in the Pittsburgher. Keith Barbara probably raced at Pittsburgh as much as Jared Miley this summer because both do a lot of travelling on Saturday nights.

It's not a tv race!

The track lighting is too dark for a TV race.

Regardless, common sense should tell them to run in the entire racetrack. Since the high side is typically so dominant, there needs to be bite in the bottom every week so that there are 3 or 4 different grooves. The moat has always been one of the dumbest things I have ever seen at a racetrack. It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Last Thursday and Saturday showed how great the racing can be when guys are allowed to run that bottom groove.

If Lucas didn't demand the bottom be run in then why wasn't it run in until immediately before the Lucas b mains ???
I've seen tracks do that intentionally to save the bite in the bottom for the feature. I would like to say they are that smart, but I doubt it. They ran the bottom in more than they usually do before the racing started on Saturday. Let's hope they learned a lesson and the racing will be that good every week from now on.
