First off I don't agree with the decision. If it isn't broke why fix it? As someone already mentioned Lernerville already had some of the most restrictive rules for the class in the area and it seemed to work.
I have read an interview from Risch who gave the standard "guys are spending too much money on their motors" answer. It has been commented on in the media. Not the answer anyone wants, but it has been said. Why can't crates it just be an option?
I will disagree with those of you expecting Big E to come on here and post with you guys about it. He is the PR "voice" of the track. He can't come onto a message board and get into an argument with people who will never agree with the track's stance.
This is my opinion, its basically starting an entire new class. I am sure the car count won't be great but they will probably end up with a dozen, and will see where it goes from there. Wonder what the message board would have looked like when Limited Lates and 6 cylinder mods where dropped? I remember a lot of angry fans saying they were just lining there pockets then to bring in the "junk cars" and drop two good classes to save on purse money.
