hahaha so u mean when a customer that I sold a used tire to 6 months ago for $20, calls my cell phone at 11pm cause their tire went flat, thats not my fault?People will call on the forth of July talking about one of their deck lights is burned out and they want it fixed today lol lol. Then I remind them that we offer upgraded led models that don't burn out but they didn't choose that option !!! I deal with BS like that ..... Not having a safety crew would
Be like a customer calling me telling me their deck fell off the house and me
Telling them if they don't like it call another builder next time lol lol lol

ok how many of you have your belts up to date do any of you know how long your fire suit is good for how many layers or do you buy the cheapist do you were all the protective gear do you wear tennis shoes when driving what thee burn degree f thee fire suit could go on but I think I made my point.
Yes you made your point perfectly clear.
You are laying all the blame for an obviously ignorant promoters lack of protecting his customers and drivers safety on the drivers. It is the promoters responsibility for having properly trained and competent officials to inspect everything you mentioned above.
If that promoter truly cared about the welfare and safety of the fans and drivers he would have the proper ems and fire safety equipment at his track no matter what they had to do to get it there.
One has to strongly wonder if this promoters lack and ignorance of providing the proper safety for the fans and drivers also extends to a lack of or even having insurance coverage at all for the same.
But in your wisdom you probably feel it is the drivers and fans responsibility to take care of that too......

I agree with all your comments. My point is if the track (which has a legal responsibility) does not provide safety you either dont attend or help with the process. I never once thought of the liability to the teams providing safety. Sometimes it takes this type of forum to see all sides and realize your opinion isnt the only solution.

you can see the childish remarks Well Jon when you 1st started racing I remember your suit wasn't top of the line as it is now as for the rest of you, you want the tracks to take all the proper steps while you don't care enough about yourself to invest in the proper things to protect you.

While it is certainly the legal and moral obligation for a race promoter to provide the proper safety equipment and personnel, why would any racer, knowing that a certain promoter is not providing those things, even consider racing there?

Just got in from Millstream, great racing. Dale won.
Years ago I drove almost 3 hours to a gokart race with my son. When I got there I found out they had no ambulance, expressed my concern, we watched a few races and went home.
I can't imagine anyone racing a car, without an ambulance there and at least some sort of fire crew.
Ok, except for Lernerville where's the racing next weekend?
edit: Yesterday I went to Atomic Speedway and after buying my $20 ticket a few sprinkles started. There were not many people at all there. I sat in my car and shortly they declared a rain out. I went and asked for a refund and they said to go pound salt, I could use the ticket next week.
Well today I went back to Millstream after being there for their last Allstar show, which was rained out. They had a ton of people there and I stood in line and was refunded my money, pretty much with a were very sorry about the rain out. And it was the $15 dollar senior ticket at Millstream, which Atomic did not offer.
Well folks, I got me a $20 ticket next week for Atomic, but they can go pound salt because they ain't getting another nickel from me and I have no plans to go there again. I'll use the drive time to head east instead.
