People will call on the forth of July talking about one of their deck lights is burned out and they want it fixed today lol lol. Then I remind them that we offer upgraded led models that don't burn out but they didn't choose that option !!! I deal with BS like that ..... Not having a safety crew would
Be like a customer calling me telling me their deck fell off the house and me
Telling them if they don't like it call another builder next time lol lol lol

hahaha so u mean when a customer that I sold a used tire to 6 months ago for $20, calls my cell phone at 11pm cause their tire went flat, thats not my fault?

ok how many of you have your belts up to date do any of you  know how long your fire suit is good for how many layers or do you buy the cheapist do you were all the protective gear do you wear tennis shoes when driving what thee burn degree f thee fire suit could go on but I think I made my point.

Yes you made your point perfectly clear.

You are laying all the blame for an obviously ignorant promoters lack of protecting his customers and drivers safety on the drivers. It is the promoters responsibility for having properly trained and competent officials to inspect everything you mentioned above.

If that promoter truly cared about the welfare and safety of the fans and drivers he would have the proper ems and fire safety equipment at his track no matter what they had to do to get it there.

One has to strongly wonder if this promoters lack and ignorance of providing the proper safety for the fans and drivers also extends to a lack of or even having insurance coverage at all for the same.

But in your wisdom you probably feel it is the drivers and fans responsibility to take care of that too......

Only the cheapest for me !!!! The laJoie seat , new Simpson platinum belts , design 500 suit , Simpson hybrid head and neck restraint and carbon fiber Simpson helmet .... It's all fuking junk ..... If only I added a couple more stitches to the fire suit so it cost 3k instead of 2600 then and only then roaring fuking knob would have had a safety crew !!!! I have done really good at keeping my mouth shut with this stupidity you put on here but I can't take it anymore . When you show up at a fuking race track it is the tracks responsibility to provide an adequate safety crew and I guarantee the law , the courts and the fuking track insurance company all agree ....

I agree with all your comments. My point is if the track (which has a legal responsibility) does not provide safety you either dont attend or help with the process. I never once thought of the liability to the teams providing safety. Sometimes it takes this type of forum to see all sides and realize your opinion isnt the only solution.

you can see the childish remarks Well Jon when you 1st started racing I remember your suit wasn't top of the line as it is now as for the rest of you, you want the tracks to take all the proper steps while you don't care enough about yourself to invest in the proper things to protect you.

I'm not sure what the connection between how much you spend on your Race Gear & if someone deserves to get burned ? Wtf ..... You can have the best suit made & it only protects you from fire for a few seconds , this is Fact . Not only do you guys let these so called "promotors" a.ss RAPE you , now let them put a value on your life/well being ......

Talk about delusional ... When I was 18 I had a second hand 2 layer Simpson suit .... As soon as I started making money I had a brand new design 500. Back then I ran the kirkey ultra light seat like everyone else ... As soon as laJoie started making dirt seats I was the first around to have one .... And soon as the Hans stuff started I had one .... So according to this dude since the gear I had in 1998 which was similar to what others used in that era is inferior to the gear I have now that means anyone who races at roaring knob deserves to burn to death because the clown who runs it pissed off the fire department ????? That's like saying all of those girls deserved to be raped by Bill Clinton because I started jacking off when I was 8 .....

While it is certainly the legal and moral obligation for a race promoter to provide the proper safety equipment and personnel, why would any racer, knowing that a certain promoter is not providing those things, even consider racing there?

What I feel Jon is trying to say is. You can have the best of everything safety wise. He has done his part. Racing can be a dangerous game. Do we as racers need all that safety gear. Thankfully No. But, if a situation raises it sure as hell helps. My head bounced off the cage getting upside down one time. I had the latest and greatest Bell helmet. Let me tell you, I wanted to choke that asshole bird tweeting in my head. And I felt like I was going to puke my guts out constantly. So, we as racers take all these risks, we try to protect ourselves the best we can, or in some cases, the best we can afford. We put the show on. Without the racers there is no show. Then you have a promoter like this guy. He has shown, you the racer are not his concern. Would it piss me off. You betcha. He is trying to save pennies. It's not his life on the line. Because yours is. Every time you strap in.

Just got in from Millstream, great racing.  Dale won.

Years ago I drove almost 3 hours to a gokart race with my son.  When I got there I found out they had no ambulance, expressed my concern, we watched a few races and went home.

I can't imagine anyone racing a car, without an ambulance there and at least some sort of fire crew.

Ok, except for Lernerville  where's the racing next weekend?

edit:  Yesterday I went to Atomic Speedway and after buying my $20 ticket a few sprinkles started.  There were not many people at all there.  I sat in my car and shortly they declared a rain out.  I went and asked for a refund and they said to go pound salt, I could use the ticket next week.

Well today I went back to Millstream after being there for their last Allstar show, which was rained out.  They had a ton of people there and I stood in line and was refunded my money, pretty much with a were very sorry about the rain out.  And it was the $15 dollar senior ticket at Millstream, which Atomic did not offer.

Well folks, I got me a $20 ticket next week for Atomic, but they can go pound salt because they ain't getting another nickel from me and I have no plans to go there again.  I'll use the drive time to head east instead.

Moral of the story here is , if someone gets burned up because a promotor chooses NOT to have a fire crew & truck on site , they should be drenched with gasoline and lit on FIRE !!!! But people need to stop going & patronizing these shith0le tracks ..... It's just DUMB on everyone's part . AFTER THE FACT THAT SOMEONE GOT BURNT IS TOO LATE , it doesn't matter at that point in time , who is at fault

Bottom line is this promoter does not care about the community, drivers or fans! The medics are there every week but they can not get a driver out of the car if he or she is trapped. Also they can not put out a fire. The medics are a paid station not volunteer, he has no choice but to pay them. The fire department is volunteer but he only allowed three people in at a time they use to bring a full rescue team. So three in for free with fire truck rest of the team had to pay! Then the track sold 50/50 and gave them the money not even enough for fuel to get to the track and back! He did not support them so they stopped supporting him! The fire departments in the area actually four liked coming to the track and supporting the local business for years prior to this bone head! Our mountain wants him out! The drivers is what the business starts with! No respect for the lives of the drivers, fans and community.

I'm thinking all of the local promoters must hang out and rub dicks at the local watering hole to come up with this retarded shit
