Ramsey that is false. Technically all monte carlos were made automatic, however the Camaro's were still made manual. Some strictly stocks are Camaro front stubs with 2x3 channel connecting front and rear, and that is legal at most tracks around.
hatorade the only thing that would be stopping a street stock from dropping down technically would be suspension and engine block. Pretty sure Marion Center's rules state 350 block. I know there are people breaking that rule, but to answer your question, that is what should stop a SS from putting 8" rubbers on. That's why I say the should combine the class. opening up the purestocks to racing transmissions, you might as well open up shocks and weight jacks too.
