Can you name the last person from Clearfield County that made the show at the Pittsburgher and how well they finished?

How about the last one to attempt the N/S 100, World, and or DTWC??

Steve Peles is from Indiana County and never raced at the Pittsburgher.  I believe Dirt's point was that no driver from Clearfield County ever made the starting field for any Pittsburgher.

Peles only raced at Pittsburgh maybe 3-5 times total in the mid 80's after the Clearfield season was over. When the Miley Pittburgher's started in 1989 Clearfield was already asphalt and Peles was off dirt and running asphalt there and Jennerstown.

There's 20 spots available , 12 Lucas regulars then guys like kid pole smoke , saterlee , feree , Miley , Burgoon , davey j and about 10 more that are typically fast as hell its NOT easy to make that race by any stretch ...

Clate Husted had also moved to the asphalt by the time the Pittsburgher started.

Just making the A main anymore in any of the Lucas or WoO races is a accomplishment. Be it a SLM or SPRINT CAR. Many times there are cars in the trailers that you just wonder, what or why didn't he make the field. There payouts are good and a lot of guys would rather run with their series than stay around home for no money. Remember that if you follow the series you are probably going to be getting $$$ just to show. Unfortunately some get more than others. But, that name is what gets people in the seats. That name gets you a pass cause nobody says he should not even be here.
