What's the chance of Tom Brady's son being as good as Tom Brady ?
I guess it depends on good the son is at schmoozing up to the guy making the rules and how good he is at getting his cheating ignored.
So if we were talking about Gary's favorite sportsman driver's son looking for a ride it may be the same comparison.

My dad drove late models in the early 70's at North Hills, Butler, Mercer, Blanket Hill, and occasionally Tri City. We won the last late model track championship at Blanket Hill.

Hi, Im Kerry Earhardt. As you know, my dad was the late great Dale Earhardt, and I would like a chance to tear up your car, or be your 2016 tax write off. But wait....I only want a top shelf free ride in a top shelf class.

Sorry, I tried to delete my post...it wasn't very relevant or funny, or worth the effort of anyone reading.

While we're asking for rides...I'm the son of a former driver that no one is likely to remember, (except Don Gamble). I have never been behind the wheel of a moving racecar, and don't even own a driving suit or helmet, but I'd love to tear up someone else's equipment.

Lynch outdid his dad as did Davey Johnson!! Miley is a nephew, not Ben's son!!! And both Blairs have way outdid their father/grandfather, who never made it out of the support classes. Some become much better than their fathers while others couldn't carry their dad's helmet bag. It goes both ways!!!
GOOD RACING TO ALL!!!

Bobby Wearing beat Bob more than once, so I would say he was more than fit to carry Bob's helmet bag, and they both loved it when they ran each other for the lead.
AJ Flick isn't doing too bad for a second year driver in sprints, and barring the unthinkable is going to get better.
Deek was a better offroader than oval track driver, but he had his moments on the oval. It was fun watching him beat Wearing and Blackie in the mods, (with a little help from Jack Freeman) one night. But yeah, Deek was no Herb, but Herb was no Wearing.
Mike Pegher's doing a bit better than his grandfather and great-uncle, since that they ran mostly semi-lates and claimers.
I think we saw the real Eddy Lynch in the infield this past season. I used to say that at least he had the skill to win as long as he had the best equipment, and there are plenty of drivers who can make good equipment look bad. But now we've seen what he does when not everyone just moves over for him. I barely remember Ed Sr., but his reputation isn't much better with the people who do remember him.

Carl, Davey, and Sheila. I'm sure Walt remembers when Carl did more than turn laps.

Announced Carl's last win at Mercer!! Saw him today at the Mall in Butler and he is doing fine!!
BTW......Bucky Johnson ran mostly with the old Semi-Late class and a lot on pavement.
