Congrats to Brian and crew for the Pittsburgher being voted the 4th best race in the country for 2015 by Dirt on Dirt. The track was perfect all weekend. It's a shame the Mileys refuse to invest any money into the place.

Now it will all go to their heads that they can invest nothing and still being voted top 5 races of the year. Now that's just reassures their is nothing that needs improved after this award. SMH

With a few exceptions, the track surface is almost always spot on.  It's the rest of the place that need attention.

Maybe just maybe PPMS is not the cash cow you think it is and Miley is doing his best to keep the place going. Not everyone is dumb enough to cash in retirement to make dumb asses with keyboards happy.

Yeah because painting, fixing bleachers, cutting weeds, and mowing is so expensive.

they have had control of the place since 1989..in that time period the place has gone to hell,at first the excuse was that "we are not going to put money in something we don't own".
whats the excuse for the last 10 years?
meanwhile they don't look like they have missed many meals...last night I was told that instead of using the new wood to fix the area roped off that they are going to knock down those stands and they won't be rebuilt.
a good example of how they are is the LED caution lights that appeared for a brief time a couple years ago, they supposedly got a deal on them and one night they had one working under the flagstand.
then they found out that new wiring would have to be installed and instead of doing it they sold off the lights.last years Pittsburgher race and the Laboon race were 2 great events..the rest of the year we might as well have not even bothered to go.

It was awesome seeing Davenport running around the top scrapin the wall and bloomquist running as hard as I have seen him run in a while.  All while Don Oneal was being... Don Oneal and driving the wheels off his car.  I said it then and will say it now, I think that might have been the best race I have watched.

Agree 1005 - Almost considered not going because of the cost and decided to go at the last minute....that was a good decision

I see credit being given to people about track prep. THEN the next words are Lucas made them do this and do that. I wonder what the outcome would have been then. Dammed if you do. Dammed if you don't do.

It's been a quite off season in terms of people bashing the place over one of there blind sided moves. Hopefully it can stay that way. Get it promoter ?

I haven't been to PPMS in years, (like 20), because of stupid rules and lack of maintenance.  It was adding the "if you even  stop it counts against your caution total," rule and guys were driving through each other on spins, that was the last straw for me.  I haven't heard anything about the track that makes me think it has improved at all.

One year the top 4 in points, (Flinner, Geisler, and both Wearings), changed Saturday tracks mid-season.  That should tell you something.

My dad drove late models in the early 70's at North Hills, Butler, Mercer, Blanket Hill, and occasionally Tri City. We won the last late model track championship at Blanket Hill.
