After watching Mercer Saturday and the Stampede last year, I would speculate that some crates are more equal than others.

While I'm sure there is some extra curricular stuff going on, setup and driving consistentcy are extremely important in crates, because drivers don't have the power available to make up ground if the car is off a tick or a the driver screws up a lap or two.

Reading rule 2:

"2. These engines are sealed at the intake manifold, cylinder head, front cover, and oil pan with special twist off bolt heads originally from GM, Crate USA Generation III (yellow) AND FASTRAK seals allowed. (Note: RUSH seals permitted on GM 602s). NO RM bolts, NDRA, DIRTcar (red or blue), Crate USA Generation I (silver) or Crate USA Generation II (blue) seals permitted. Effective January 1, 2017 FASTRAK seals will no longer be permitted. For any other sealing system, contact RUSH for approval. Crate engines must not be altered, modified, or changed from factory specs."

I did a search on "Crate USA Generation III".

this was found in the search:  https://www.facebook...50303067239172/

When I search on Fastrack it's location is Carnsville GA

SECTION 1 NAMES, COMPANY INFORMATION FASTRAK Companies International LLC DBA/FASTRAK Racing Series Mail: PO Box 590, Carnesville GA 30521 Overnight: 8077 Royston Road, Carnesville GA 30521

My question is, is Crate UAS Fastracks main competition down south for crate racing?

If it is it seems to me they've made Fastrack the odd man out in crate racing.  I'm thinking maybe the two don't care if Fastrack does not allow their engines.  The bigger picture may be without Fastrack being accepted by the other two it's days are numbered.

edit:  Or is Fastrack still the big kid on the block for crate racing down south and the other organization is going to bed with RUSH to try to gain on Fastrack?

Crate racing. Bla. Bla. Bla. It's good racing. It's a way for guys to get in and not spend as much as SLM guys. The different sanction bodies out there wanna take there ball and make things more complicated for all involved. My seals are blue and dam you if you show up with green seals. Bla. Bla. Bla. Grade school whining.
