Seen on Facebook that Dow passed away. I grew up listening to him announce races. In my mind there was nobody better around here then Dow. I read it and wished I was dreaming. God speed Dow you will be sorely missed.

This is insane. I always enjoyed hearing Dow. Very knowledgeable and worked well with the other traveling series announcers

That was unexpected.  I am sorry to hear it.  Obviously, condolences to all of the Lernerville staff, and his friends and family.

My dad drove late models in the early 70's at North Hills, Butler, Mercer, Blanket Hill, and occasionally Tri City. We won the last late model track championship at Blanket Hill.

Seen it earlier. Couldn't believe it. Never had the pleasure of meeting the guy, but always enjoyed listening to him.  Weird how I just mentioned him the other day on here when we was interviewing Zambotti.  Little did we know it would be his final driver victory lane interview. Godspeed Dow.
