I would love to see them put together a special race to honor his memory for years to come the canahan classic a fitting tribute to an irreplaceable individual

I was hoping one day to get a nickname off of him just as so may other racers have. Rest in Peace Dow, the races will never sound the same.

I agree. If not the Firecracker, perhaps one of the outlaw shows in the fall. I think the "Carnahan Classic" featuring the outlaw lates or sprints would be a great compliment to the "Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup"; opposed to the lame name they use now "Workin Man 50." I know Dow was very involved with St. Vincent College Athletics; I imagine they will do something as well.

I don't remember ever seeing him wearing long pants, always shorts no matter how cold it was!  Will miss him greatly.  RIP Dow.
