Aren't their pure stock rules already looser than that?

I agree Animal.  they should just combine the two.  I will stick with hummingbird.  not changing the front nose piece and bumper just to race for less money.  btw trial race is the 28th.  not the 30th.  I spoke with Jim and he told me about the front ends needing to look stock also the rears have to be closed up too.

I was told same rules as 2015 with the addition of crate motors with weight breaks, and no MD3 style noses backs must be completely closed in.  Was told that the fans didn't want to see another class of late models.  Although, they've been allowing the Streets to run latemodel noses since 1990.  Shyanne Reed's car looked like a late model then running with the Street stocks.  had the wedge nose and the back end was completely open.  I don't really see the big deal in appearance.  it's not going make the cars any faster or slower by looking like a latemodel.  And there are quite a few differences between a latemodel and a street other than the appearance.  other tracks in the area allow the look, the Penn Ohio series allows it.  you're not going to get cars by enforcing something that hasn't been enforced in years and no other track enforces it

For the casual fan that just comes once in awhile they can't tell the difference between a late model or street stock. Sure most of us in here can pretty quickly see the differences.

For the fans that don't know the difference ... Just  listen to the announcer ... He will tell you.

I've never heard fans complain about it anyway. The only time I've seen it cause confusion was when there were only a couple that truly looked like a late model body. People would ask why a late model was running with the street stocks. Now, they almost all look that way. I like the looks of the 80s monte as much as anyone, and if you want your car to look like one, go ahead. It's not illegal anywhere. I see no issue either way though. If there's cars on a track and the racing is good, I don't care what they look like.

Cheyenne Reed didn't run Streetstock. Years ago that was the super stock/semi-late class and you were allowed nose pieces and open tails just no spoiler.

So that was the squeaky wheel that needed the grease... the nose and rear end appearance. Everything else is pretty standard but let's screw everyone who got ready for this year and alienate new cars. Seems like a swell idea

The only way I can tell some of the street stocks from the late models is by looking at the bolt pattern on the wheels.

So did the new rules pull in a full field of cars last night??

With every other track rained out that place should have had to run B, C, and D mains for stocks last night..... ;)

I think they had 3 heats, left before the feature..  Miley put on a show, chased down Blose and won by a large margin...

Lotsa crashes, especially in the Steel Block LMS... Too many cars and don't line up side by side, the leader was taking

the green and the last place car (27th) was in turn 2!!! Single file just doesn't make sense with that many cars on that

track!!

Super Lates top 5 was Miley, Blose, Blazavich, Sikora & Greg Oakes.
Steel Blocks top 5 was Reed, Pickney, Huey, Sweeney & Gindelsberger.

Not sure about the rest.

I personally would like the looks of actually appearing Street Stocks. JMO I think their body styles are out of hand right now
