Ed Carrier Jr announced that the 28 team has ceased operation. What a shame!

People need to face the cold hard truth. Super late models, 410 sprints, and big block mods are quickly becoming endangered species and if fact in more than a few areas they are extinct.

They all have there areas.  410 sprints are PA and OH.  SLM are actually bigger in the Midwest than here and BB have NY, NJ and Cananda.   We just happen to have a little of all cause of Lenervile and then the 3 tracks on Saturday split them.   Lernerville is the only track in the US that runs all three classes  together on a regular basis, that I am aware of.

Quickly  Endangered is a strong word.  Every year 5 operations shut down and 3 to 4 start up.   I think we are ok for a little while

The problem, or part of it, there are too many tracks and not enough cars to go around. Fields of cars, racers only racing 1 night a week, and more factors are hurting local racing. Western pa. has to many divisions of cars. We all have are favorites. Sprint cars alone are split 4 ways. Mods 4. Late Models, each track has a class crate, steel block, 358, and some I'm sure I missed. PPMS, who knows what next year will bring, Mercer, 4sale. Tri City is running a limited schedule this year.

There seem to be more E-mods headlining weekly mid & southwestern tracks these days.

Well stated and agree.  I know crate classes are best for the racer but for fans it is asphalt follow the leader boring racing.  Atleast my opinion.
