Todd Weldon took the lead on a lap 18 restart from Chris Schneider, and went on to win the biggest race of his young career.  Track was in great shape tonight, lighting in second and third turns has been improved, nice weather, and very good crowd.  Wayne Carbo, who started in the 21 spot, drove to a 3rd place finish, and looked like he had a legitimate shot to pull off a win.  Results are as follows:

What a night. What a track. And what a race between Todd, Chris and Wayne. I still can't believe Wayne started at the tail of his B and made it then passed 18 of the best cars around to finish 3rd. And what more can you say about Todd. What a great job on those late restarts. Fantastic night. Everyone made my Dad proud. Thanks to all.

Great video Won11, you really captured the essence of the event. (and you didn't have to drive home in the rain this time, lol).  Hats off to the track crew for a smooth, almost dust-free surface which provided a great racing surface from top to bottom.  Not only was there a spirited battle for the lead, there was great racing throughout the pack, with many drivers coming from deep in the field to a top ten finish.  Super job Vince, and all the drivers who took part in this wonderful event.  The fans got their money's worth and then some.

When this event started 5 years ago, I never thought it would snowball into what it has become. It's become a must see and no doubt the premier event in the area for the class. I would rank it up with the Firecracker/Pittsburgh for the super lates, or the Don Martin for the sprints as far as big shows in the area and would recommend it to anyone.

You have to hire an announcer for next year Vince Laboon. That guy you got is horrible. In times like these, it makes you reflect back and think of what Dow has always done from plugging the sponsors that made the event, multiple times that night (this guy never once read any sponsors!) to letting fans know who are the top guys from other tracks to watch ( this guy doesnt have a clue who anyone is) to hyping the event that night ( all he talked about was the food and beer stand). It made me feel like I was at mercer listening to their announcer talk about how great their food is. Most people are there to watch racing, not eat.

Another great year for the event and glad we got a chance to take it in (no rain).

Quick ELM facts and figures:

Total cars- 58

Total purse and bonuses paid to drivers- $15,059!  (with NO entry fees).

Great racing?

Carbo +18 spots (started last in B main, won it to make A main)

Poljack +18

Steigerwald +13

Simmons +12

Fosnaught+9

Robertson +9

Stajnsajh- +9

I believe Spike Moore's first appearance at PPMS.. started last in his B main and raced into the feature, just like Carbo.

Still no repeat winners in 5 years with all this talent.

Loved doing driver introductions.  Really cool.

Thank you to everyone who made this event possible again this year.  It wouldn't exist without the support from the drivers, sponsors, Mileys, Penn Ohio Series and the fans.

Where will the race be in the future since PPMS is closing?

Even if PPMS closes, which apparently isn't a done deal, don't you think it's a little premature to ask this question?
