Wanted to say congrats to Max Blair and his team on the win at Freedom, NY last night. I believe that is 11 super late wins this year already. I think that is incredible, Ive followed area racing along time and its been awhile since someone racked up these type of numbers.

Just thought it deserved a mention.

Right on, that is 11 wins so far this year.  Max leads my #1 Cochran Cavalcade points again this year hand has about twice the points as second place Jared Miley.  As of last weekend it was 75 to 38.   The rest of the top five are Josh Richatrds, Russell King and a 5th place tie between Alex Ferree and Robbie Blair.

GOOD RACING!!!

Walt.

Keep up the good work and avoid the competition, lol. He isn't in the same league as Miley, Feree, or King. Those three guys run against stiff competition.

If Miley went everywhere that Max does , Max might have 2 wins tops

While I'm not a fan of Max and notice he stays away from both Lernerville and PPMS, (though he has won at both places in the past), I have to give him credit. He has won a Bedford this year, and the Eriez and Stateline guys are not slouches. Jared's deal is he he goes to a lot out of the area places, which don't count for Walt's Cavalcade points, but generally are bigger races too. Jared and Max have raced several times head to head,at Beford and ULMS races and seem pretty equal. I guess I would have liked to seen him at the Firecracker, and the WoO show on Labor Day, and the upcoming Pittsburgher and Red Miley. King is likely the most underrated driver in the area, and while I know he has business commitments and such but would love to see him race more.

Yea let's talk about Max Blair. Why does he always start on the pull? Why does he never come to a track he can't win at? Why when he has to start in the back he doesn't make the feature? Why does the pill draw never happen in front of the stand? I find it to hear a joke.

Care to post the win record for your boy away from the highly competitive Jefferson County two track circuit??

Blair only goes to tracks he knows he can win at. Charlie is trying to get out there and learn at different tracks.

I guess that's why your boy hits Thunder Mountain and Hummingbird on a regular basis.

Maybe you should educate yourself and go to Max Blair's website and read his bio which lists all those tracks he's won at that you think is easy pickings for him along with the championships he's won.

I can answer why the Blairs didn't run the firecracker pretty easily. In order to be competitive they would have needed 16-20 tires that they could only run at one track. Anyone with half a brain can figure out that isn't financially feasible for a team that budgets themselves wisely.

The Blairs were there, just without their cars.  I spoke with Robbie briefly one day.

I'm not putting the Blairs down, but no matter what level you race at it is an expense. And I hardly can believe that money is truly an issue. And judging by their equipment and talent, they both have the ability to be highly competitive at any big show.

Are they on a American racer tire deal ? If there running Hoosier tires I can't see how they would have needed as many tires as said previously.

Lets add it up, 3 nights of racing, that's 3x4 tires on the car per night. So that's 12 total tires then add a few for spares, then if you want to make a stagger change add another per night, then you run 20s in the heats and 30s in the feature so add more for that then multiply it for 2 cars, hope that helps

The numbers I had came from someone who runs there weekly, so they already had ump tires and still ended up buying that many for the weekend. So that number is only going to be higher for someone like the Blairs who probably don't have any ump tires on the shelf.
