714d, Not trying to start a fight( why I don't post much). My name is Robert Siegel, The soon to be father -in-law to the driver of the 604 street stock that got sent home.

I just want to clarify a few things!

I 100% love the Caltagarone family

Hummingbird will always be like a second home to me, and would never do anything to hurt the speedway. Heck i even hauled a car from west virginia weekly a few years ago to support the track.

And most important I LOVE RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!We need them in racing.... All Tracks could do a better job enforcing them for sure ,like when the rules say only stock lowers but cars have built lowers all year!!! Tech is a issue at most local tracks. I don't have a issue with getting sent home because of a rules infarction.

Onto last weekend, We race lernerville (since we live in Pittsburgh). We were asked to come race at Hummingbird at least once. Earlier in the year I promised we would make it at least once with the car. So I knew the heads weren't legal, but we were told to come race!!! so we did. We were the first car in the Pits...

Had the hood off for over 2 hours to show everyone we had a 604 in the car!!!!!!!!!!!!We weren't trying to hide it!!!!! Kinda sucks they waited to race time to tell us to leave. Everybody knows what motors I have in my cars. But Hummingbird speedway was nice enough to give us our money back(Once again I tell you a great family) When we left didn't make a seen, we loaded up and left! Days later we were told by a few people that they  said that the main reason was it was because it was Champship night and didn't want a slower car in the way!

I am not mad or angry, life will go on for sure, at least I got to see a lot of great people!!!

In closing just wanted to clarify we were told to come!!!

I don't believe the comments about being a slower car at all.. Some one is trying to start something..

I have always disagreed with allowing with alum heads.. BUT there was lots of discussions about the 604s last night.. If the decide to change the rule I hope you guys would be willing to make the trip back..

Jim,

I might agree with you about the slower car comment, people like to start stuff for sure.

But they told us( That night) it was championship night and it could cause a lot of trouble.

The car was there the week before and nobody ever said anything at all. It did rain out but the car was there for hours.

I also want to clarify I am not complaining or upset.

I can't speak for Ethan but Sadie and I will always be back, to watch even if the don't change the rules. Like I said it's a second home to us!!

Thanks

Blackflag i guess you are not new to racing, How would you feel if you have raced at a track all year long and you and john doe are 20 points diff. It is double points night and you re leading  and john doe is having a bad night, your lapping cars and the car you are lapping bumps you and cuts your tire. You pit and you come back on the track in 10th with 2 laps to go. You finish 8th john doe finishes 3rd. He wins the championship by 2 points then you find out the car that cut your tire did not meet the rules. Your going to say thats ok the track told hum to come and race. I agree with Animal alum. heads do not belong in the street stock class. They dont' even allow then in the Semi lates.

Not new at all, 28 years, 27 of driving and 1 year of a car owner( this year)

It would be disappointing for sure, been there before!

The plan was never to run on championship night, that's why we went the week before. we had 8 pit passes bought and couldn't afford to lose that money.

Once again let me clarify I am  not mad we weren't aloud to race, I understand for sure, just letting it be known there is more to the story!
