There are people of various generations on racestud. There are owners, drivers, promotors, media, all types. I laughed at most of what huck said, and others. Did it get old ! Yes. The bashing of others is what has turned many off. It's ridiculous, it's childish. Someone says something that may be right or wrong and the next thing you read is what a a••hole you are and your clueless. Everyone of us on here has as much right to a opinion as anyone. If you disagree why does a person have to slam another individual. Anyhow, it has turned many off because they don't know who is going to slam them.

Yes correct. But it also made for a fun morning. I use to be walking across the shop and just start laughing about the stuff I read. It was entertaining. But there were still interesting threads on here to read through also. Even the ones that blew up, amazingly there is a screen name attached to the post in the thread and you can scroll right past it if you don't want to read it. But the funny part is everyone would read it and in some way or another, like it or not, you were still entertained.

people today are too politically correct..they need to loosen up a little and quit looking for lawsuits or racism everywhere.

In keeping with the theme of this topic I have a racing question and answer or maybe a racing secret never thought about by anyone else ever to give out.   :)

What part of the track does moving the left rear tire in and out tune your setup too?

I understand it will change things in general all around the track to a generally thought of direction.  But there are other things which can be done to shift setup to or from the same general direction.  Being there are other things you can do to shift setup over all the same way, i'm suggesting there is one unique place on the track where moving the left rear in or out, is or should be considered the primary use for it as an adjustment.

I'm suggesting moving the left rear in or out to fine tune for one particular place on the track.  I'm also suggesting if you use the adjustment for one thing which your driver can report back to you on its need, changing it to suit your driver will also at the same time change it to suit track conditions.

Yeah this is the sort of thing which screws this board up.

The post was not to talk about anything racing.  If you notice the first and last sentences explained it's purpose.  It kept with the threads topic and was only to irritate, with what came between them, bait.  Old fuddy duddies got to have some fun too, not even needing to use any insults or bulling.     :)

Almost 50 years ago, yes.

edit:  Taught adults down on their luck for various reasons and most all were older then me still in my early 20's, not kids.  Very rewarding when things went well.  Not so good when you'd loose students, sometimes for reasons nobody can understand nor even would want to know.

Well, I commend you. Technically I understand why you ask some of the questions you do. As a long ago student my auto shop teacher showed me many things that I carried thru life. LOL. I remember it well. Air and fuel and volumne, pack it in tight, compression, then lite it up and boom. We used to laugh.

What school district Ds2 ?

and by the way. Thank you...

In the 2000s this board became the place to find results and relevant information if you didn't want to wait for your weekly Tri-State Auto Racing News to come in the mail. Today, I can just go on this little thing called Twitter to find what I want in half the time and not have to subject myself to 12 Hummingbird posts or Dirt Student's drivel which occupy 3/4ths of the board.

In addition, this board used to have characters, many of whom weren't fans of mine, but characters nonetheless, like sprntr2001, Rotund Robin, b00zer, Harry Gant, Huck, Turkeysub, Bucktoothed *Andy*, Underwear Bandit, and even that destitute mooch fanmods who swindled 20 dollars from Gary Risch.

Besides my old friend Scruffy, who clearly is also bored here, I can't differentiate a single one of you from the next. Vanilla with a capital V.

Who wants an autograph?

My point has been made. Clearly the people who complain about the stuff going on in the threads could have easily scrolled past this thread. In clear letters it says this board sucks. What could be good about that? But yet they still click and read all of the posts just looking for a way to laugh or complain. They try to be politically correct but they love to complain about it, just as much as the people writing the stuff enjoy it. That is why you clicked on the post. Also look at all the new words and phrases that you have learned by reading the posts. You can't find that stuff in Websters dictionary. Some of us will still laugh and some will complain but just like a race car driver, you may love him or hate him, but you always watch him to see what happens next.

About watching drivers I hate, first there are few drivers I hate, and if I do it's because they have repeatedly done things that detract from the race.  I don't watch tv for the commercials and I don't go to Lernerville to watch the dirty drivers wreck others.  The commercials are there whether I want them or not, and so are the drivers that I have problems with.

My dad drove late models in the early 70's at North Hills, Butler, Mercer, Blanket Hill, and occasionally Tri City. We won the last late model track championship at Blanket Hill.

I don't boo anyone, I just cheer harder for my favorites!!!

And, Yes, I miss 'The Legend', what he said was usually

right on, I will admit I don't like some of the words he uses...

Not that I don't use those words, I don't use them on here......
