i read with great intrest a lot of the opinions put forth on this page and this once i will add one of my own, when there is any incident on the track there are many thoughts expressed so in regards to the Sides/ Seger pass it had a ngative result for Sides but a positive result for Seger, now about the Sye lynch incident was it better that Sye was out of the race I think not please remember we are only watching from a distance and drawing our own conclusions.

Sprint Car racing is a matter of inches and mini seconds of decision and yes thing will happen but I seriously doubt any driver would intentionaly cause a crash.

I give Jimmy Seger a lot of respect for even sitting in a Sprint Car again after his horrible crash a few years back at The Grove and it was not his fault but he was thought to be Dead until his Dad found a little life and then he had years of recovery and has been winning  in the 305s and is mercer Raceway Park season champ.

I spend many hours with these drivers and their familys in both the good times as well as the bad and dont second guess their driving I just respect each one for what they do for us.

Bill you got it. The decisions being made at the speeds they are running today is just a accident waiting to happen lap after lap. It's true nobody, especially in a sprint car, is trying to wreck a fellow competitor. As you said, it's a matter of inches and split second decisions. Throw in the speed factor and track conditions. I'm just surprised you don't see more crashes.

What was stated from Others on how fast and how everything happens in a split second is even more of a reason that maybe Seger should have got a little 410 time under his belt before running with the fastest cars on dirt!

you do realize he was faster in qualifying than over half of the cars there? 14th to be exact.... 8th fastest in hot laps, and 2 fastest in his heat,,,, as far as feature goes, i dont know, that isnt on speedhive that i can find.   As a competitor of his, i see how fast his 305 ride is every week...  try not to be too butt hurt that the guy did something the lernerville regulars couldnt do  *disclaimer i am not a jimmy worshiper, he's a great driver, in top notch equipment

i just watched heat race #2 on dirtvison... segar is lucky sides has good reflexes and can turn right.... that was almost really ugly, definitely came into the turn a little too hot.  Part of what makes jimmy a winner is his aggression, but that is also what pisses a lot of people off... no one wants to see junk cars, or worse.....  i still stand by my previous comments tho, its not like he hasnt wheeled a 410 before and todays 305's arent a whole hell of a lot slower

It's not like it's easy to make the feature in a WoO event.  I tend to think that getting there says you earned your way in.

I didn't hear many people saying that Slammy didn't belong in WoO events, and he hit everything, including the push trucks.  Mistakes happen, and sorry but it's the ones who've never driven over their heads who are least likely to belong on the tracks with the pros.  Those guys do it every race.

My dad drove late models in the early 70's at North Hills, Butler, Mercer, Blanket Hill, and occasionally Tri City. We won the last late model track championship at Blanket Hill.

I don't want to beat on the guy but he looked a little out of control in the heat and didn't last too long in the feature before he dumped it.
Like I said earlier maybe a few nights in the 410 before the Outlaw show could have helped,

All I'm trying to say is 410's are very fast and dangerous and Outlaw night is not a smart night to knock the rust off.
